A walk through the Minnesota woods(part 1)

Well, I didn't even get the chance to look for Ps. semilanceata, no cow pastures around for miles where I was staying. But I did talk to a cousin who is also interested in mushrooms and says he and his friends pick liberty caps in cow pastures along lake superior. The temps were perfect, mushrooms were everywhere, and the fog was thick every morning! I know lib caps grow there.

I did however find and abundance and vast variety of mushroom species, there were tons of mushrooms everywhere! It was a mushroom hunters paradise :) I took lots of pics and figured I'd share them with you all....

Nice array of photographs you have there lizard. It woulda been pretty farking cool if you woulda gotten some michingan lib pics but if the pastures arent around then they arent around. But the positive report of them growing is good news enough. Good work ehh

pic#1. Maybe some type of Gymnopilus???

Pics#3-5 Some type of Sphagnum-bog Glaerina(possibly Galerinatibicystis?)

pics#7-8. Honey mushrooms(Armillariella mellea)

pic#9. Lobster mushroom(Hypomyces lactifluorum)


pics#11-12. Birch Polypore(Piptoporus betulinus)

pics#13-14. Brick tops(Naematoloma sublateritium)
