Ipod question

I am going to amsterdam and paris and england tommorrow, and I will be borrowing my brother's Ipod. Does anyone know if it is possible to hook up two sets of earbuds to it, perhaps by splicing the signal? Thanks.

yes, actually funny enough, did this yesterday.

what you need is a double connector thingy..don't know the name of it..but looks like a Y connection. this is the only way i know of how to do so

heh its actually called a Y-connector, make sure you get the one with the 3.5mm stereo male/female ends because they also make these to connect RCAs.

The Y-connector will work, but you'll lose some of the volume. Might not be a problem, but if it is, radioshack has a thing that will split it into three outputs, and amplifies the sound(uses 2 aa batteries).
