windows NT, freezeup?
    #3935397 - 03/18/05 01:30 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

On my schools computers, just after starting up, you see the background desktop picture, but nothing else loads. Theres a program called wualcts.exe, if you close it through task manager (task manager works), it loads all the other items. Anyone have any idea how to fix this freeze at the startup? theres obviously something wrong. It does this on all the computers.

Try not using a 7 year old operating system for starters!

Considering I dont control my school choices of operating system, or their financial income, I dont think it would be possible to change the OS. And personaly I think 98 was the best OS written, XP is the worst thing ive seen since your mom in a bathing suit.

Unless you have any actual advice or ideas, please don't respond to this.

I agree XP sucks a cock, Windows 2k is what I use and it is based on NT.

wualcts.exe seems to be somekinda remote server program, I would run sysedit and disable it and see if that helps.
