Anybody have any unique methods of eating mushrooms to mask that oh-so-nasty taste?

me too summit. i chew em up real good and they usually get all stuck up in my molars. i nice glass of OJ or water helps em go down then... or a gulp of soda if i swish it around in my mouth.

ive heard of people taking fresh mushies and putting them in a blender with OJ, but i just eat those solo too.

Yeah, I can relate to the 'chunks-o-mushroom-in-the-molars' thing. That happens to me every time!

i remember last time i ate them, i loved the taste and chewed on them for as long as possible. i was so messed up, by the last bite, the taste was getting to me.

Studies show that many people like making tea with them. Heavy on the lemon juice. But some also find this method to reduce the peak...

Wow, I am surprised to see that so many people like to eat them straight. I usually crush them up into little, swallowable chunks and dump them into a small minute maid orange juice bottle and chug it as fast as possible. I ate them straight the first time I did them but since then I've found that I've had a psychological intolerance for the taste, smell, and texture.

chloroseptic spray numbs your throat.  you won't be able to taste any splooge after a good chloroseptic coating. :thumbup:

My person favorite is to just munch them down dehydrated, but here are some other methods/recipes ive used

Tea Recipe(little variation from most methods i experimented with)
1. brought enough water to fill a large glass to good boil.
2. wrapped chopped shrooms in in paper towels to make a teabag type thing for the shrooms used a twist tie off bread bag to hold it together
3. dropped the shroom papertowel bag in big empty glass
4. poored the hot water in the glass as soon i took it off the burner
5. added about 3 teabags i used imperial white peach i think is what it was called
6. added sugar would have added some honey if i had some
7. consumed warm be careful its way too hot to drink at first and needs to sit for a few minutes anyway to make sure your getting all the alkaloids... eh when i say all i mean most this probally not the way to go if you want to get the most out of your shrooms. By the way this still had a very shroomy taste to it and wasnt very good I have yet to make the perfect kool-aid or tea, but i think it kicked in faster consuming the tea warm.

Capsul method
this is the best way to do it for those of you that cant stand the taste. buy some vitamins that come in capsuls empty them and fill them with dehydrated shrooms. When i did this i didnt even grind the shrooms up i just rolled the shrooms into small balls and packed the capsuls full one capsul should hold about one small sized cap the size of a quarter.

Fresh
pick and eat
yuck but damn do you trip hard if you can get enough of them down I rarely eat them fresh anymore mainly because i cant force myself to eat enough to trip as hard as want to. I'd rather eat much more dehydrate than try to force enough down fresh.
