Damn what an interesting thread. Where do I start? First of all I'm not from Canada. I'm from Tennessee, USA. Secondly, Pftek methodology can be used with mushrooms other than the ones that are illegal. Third, the encouragement or condonement of illegal activities concerning my product never exists on my website. There is a disclaimer on the home page. Fourth, if a horse turd sits in the field for months it composts naturally. Man did not invent composting. And finally, thanks to everyone that ordered my product. :smile: It IS the shit. You won't be disappointed, no matter what kind of dung loving mushroom you choose to grow. Peace. :mushroom2:

lunaloca...I think they were referring to the fact that you have pictures of CUBES growing posted on your website...I think whoever started talkin about you having cubes on there is where they were concerned, as was my friend...why not ports?

Being another vendor here who sells manure maybe I can help shed some light.  (Please don't think I'm hijacking this thread).

There is a difference between dried manure, dehydrated manure and aged manure. 

What you ask?  Just the moisture content :smile:  When Myco Supply was looking for a source for poo we found a company that sold manure flakes.  Nice products but it was too dry (would break and become a dust/powder). 

It was really dry and was in a way very concentrated. 

Also, unless its fresh from the horse, you're probably going to add water to it anyway.  So for all you folks asking "How many pounds or quarts would X amount be used in a substrate"  Thats a very hard question to answer because after you add water, your weight/volume ratio will change.

Something an old friend of mine told me years ago (before his wife found out about me :smile: ) is this... 

"Mushroom growing is biology, NOT chemisty"

In other words, you don't need exact measurements with some of this stuff.  A handful of this, a bit of that...  for the amount that most hobby growers are growing.  You probably won't need such percise weights.

And remember....  its just shit :smile:
