I wish I would have learned to play well. I watched in amazement for 3 or 4 years as friends played. I just never learned to play well enough to be any good. I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent a lot of money on MTG cards when I was a kid. I've sold most of my cards now (I've kept a small deck though... ).

Yeah I used to play with a group of friends.. I still have all my cards and some of my friends have an ungodly amount. I played D+D with the same group of friends too but I think the group prefered Magic, probably because it was simpler.

A long time ago I played Magic and collected the cards. Also a few other games.. I think the star wars card game and some others.
I still have them somewhere in a box.. been forever since I have looked at them. I don't have much use for them these days so if you are interested in getting some more cards, I could go sort through them and trade or maybe even give them away.

I remember some of the pieces were too rare or cool to risk losing. Kids did get in trouble a lot with them.. to make things worse I have heard of people getting suspended for having the "slammer" (thing that is supposed to flip the pogs) because it was metal and had spikes on it. They considered it as a "weapon" because kids used to throw them at eachother.

Remember the "bomb" slammers? You could just drop the bastards on the pog pile and it would explode.

and, I used to play Warhammer 40k too.. I started with Mordheim, but moved on - I even played Inquisitor for a bit right when it came out.. I was more into painting and converting the little guys though, I had a blast doing that.. ahhh...8th grade.

I'd honestly still be playing it now if I found someone who would play with me :p .. I made a really nice dragon deck I could win in 2 turns with ( theoretically, most often 4 turns, sometimes 3 ), RIGHT before I stopped being able to find anyone to play with.

I used to be such a badass at Magic.

I gave all my cards away to a friend, though. I've won so much cash at tourneys.

The kids that played that stuff in highschool creeped me out. There was a whole table of em. I used to just play spades. But I also got a card game that was kinda like Magic but it was set in space. Same idea though. Never went national they were made by a local artist and never realy got of the ground. I got so many of them enough for a few people to play.
