hey i checked faq and search and couldnt find anything so my question is, is how do u make shroom tea?

Here's how I do it. I do it same whether fresh or dry. Break them up into pieces. Put however many you wanna dose on (plus a couple more for good measure) in a pot (or microwavable bowl if nuking) with as much water as you think you'll be able to drink and then a bit more that will likely get boiled off. I usually use a pint plus about another half cup and it ends up at about a pint of tea. Get them boiling then turn down the heat and let them simmer for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and let them cool. Cool them faster in the fridge or freezer (just don't let it freeze). Then pour the tea through a strainer and wring out the shrooms to get all the liquid.

I use crystal light lemonade to flavor it for consumption. Also you can squirt in some lemonjuice and splenda to flavor it.

My method (everybody has their own):

Chop up your shrooms fine (fresh or dry) put them in a mug, add some loose leaf tea for taste (or add a teabag) pour on boiling water, cover and let it steep for about 20 min. When it has cooled enough, slowly drink the brew. To make sure you get everything, you might want to eat the pieces of shroom on the bottom of the mug too.

I've been told that you shouldn't add sugar to the tea, as this would break down the psilocybin. I don't know if this is a fable or the truth. I never take sugar in my tea, so I've never had the chance to compare.

I've never heard this one, but it sounds rather far out. AFAIK there's no interaction.

I heard the same about sugar which is why I use the non sugar lemonade or use splenda/nutrasweet with lemon juice.

you can also soak your shrooms in diluted lemon juice and then just add the juice to you tea

i dont think there is anything wong with sugar. I always use it in my
teas and never complained about potency yet.

does the heat from tea lose potency, I keep hearing diffrent things.

I used plenty of sugar in my tea once.

Lets just say that sugar does not break down psylocybin at all.

I guess it has to be hotter than boiling water to break down the psylocybin. Like a flame or something.

As far as I know, boiling shrooms does not reduce their potency.

i am not sure, many say that high temperatures kill psilocybin..
I alwaya wait for the water to stop boiling and then pour it over
the shrooms..and I do this at least 3 times. Then I think I have gotten almost everything outta them

I know some people do it that way for fear of boiling heats. I haven't had a problem, or if there was a breakdown, I didn't notice. Maybe it's just that I typically put in many more shrooms that the normal dose

With respect to sugar, I just don't like to use sugar because it's too sweet to start off my trip. I'd rather use splenda or nutrasweet to avoid the sugar early on in the trip. Just a preference. I don't see why sugar would have any impact on psilocybin potency whatsoever.

I'm going to work for a few hours this morning then get out to the field and get some good pics hopefully.

I'm not addicted to shrooms. I'm addicted to the hunt!!!
