dancing in colorado

So when i go to techno parties, or 'raves' if you must call it that, i love to dance along with all of the kickass people. Colorado people dance so fucking cool, and each different area of the U.S. and different parts of the world, people dance so differently. Here in Boulder, Colorado, the dancing is very hippyish and way mystic. I'd love to capture a video of some good dancers from around here, and if i do, i'll post links :laugh: What do you think about dancing to techno?

Damn, it's lonely in here at 4am...i dislike roaming around the shroomery at this hour, not finding anything to reply to. Hehe, maybe i should indulge in something more productive, maybe read some of one of my many unread books. Still have half to go on High Priest, most of DMT: The Spirit Molecule still to read, and most of Astral Dynamics. Sorry for going off topic, i needed to post!!! I'm a fiend!

dancing to techno is awesome man..i think missoula, mt is pretty similar to boulder, but maybe a little smaller. very liberal town with lots of hippies. i go to drum circles occasionally and there are always people dancing around, it's wonderful. anyway, i went to this festival in northern cali, called earthdance, and they had this massive 60 ft. dome with bad ass djs inside pumping out techno, electronica, trance, whatever, and there was digital art all over the inside and outside of the dome. it had a very rave-like atmosphere inside of it, lots of e, shrooms, and lsd. i ate some shrooms and just went and stood there and watched people dance for 3 hours. it was fascinating to see everyone experience it in their own way, and develop their own style. i think i fell in love with about 6 different girls that night just from becoming entranced by their dancing. the next night i ate some mdma and lost myself in the dome. it was a good time, any of you should consider going next year. michael franti & spearhead was the main act of the weekend. the dome was my favorite part though

Sounds like great fun. Dancing is such an awesome form of expression/meditation. Everyone does have their own style and form. The first rave i ever went to (on 5g of mushrooms), i was in awe for many hours at the dancing. I'd never seen something so free.

exactly, it's the freest..hhmm..most free? yeah, most free form of expression i've ever seen, it's beautiful. i love being around people like that too, cause no one will judge you in that environment, you don't have to worry about being a "good" dancer. everyone is feelin their own groove

Hehe, i'm gonna crash in 15 minutes or so. Just now when reading your post i turned on a Jake Mandell song (great dancing techno), and it made me wanna jump up and bust a groove (which is also the title of the best Infected Mushroom song). I'm damn hungry right now, have no idea what to eat...prehistoric dilemma :wink:

EDIT: It wasn't a Jake Mandell song actually, but a John Tejada and Arian Leviste song! Highly recommended.

I saw Tejada live right before a May set out in Lansing one year.

That man can spin some good shit.
Usually i'm not much of a house fan, unless it involves acid, both musical and otherwise. :wink:

You know, I've met some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen while at techno dance parties.  It's like I dance next to them and they just completely blow me out of the water and they're all so loving and kind.  Even stayed at a hotel party with a couple before in Pittsburgh.. I kept thinking "I'm going to wake up with a bunch of strangers, the drugs will be not effecting me and we'll have nothing in common." but I was way wrong.  We all went out to breakfast, talked about a lot of different things and just got to know each other, so that just proves it's not the drugs at "raves", it's the people, the atmosphere, and the emotional energy that is shared between the people that really feel these things.

I love it! :thumbup:
