Is this free spore thing for real $1 for a print has any one gotten spores from this. Also what strain from the FSR is the best for a first timer and is it $1 can or $1 usa???

Heck yea man. It's the really real. Send back some prints to Ralph if you can. It's sort of a back-scratching network. Check out the contests the FSR just held in the spore exchange forum. What've you got to loose? $1?

The "Free Spore Thing" is great. Its especially great for trying new races and species. If you want to learn how to make syringes well and don't want to screw up a $15 print than this is the way to go.
Its definately worth it. How can you go wrong with $1? Just take the change from between your couch cushions and get a spore print.
I can see a world where this is no poverty and no war, I can also see us attacking that world because they would never expect it.

I've gotten a thai and a Cambodian print from the Fsr. I also just won another Cambodian print which I will be giving to a friend of mine to start out with. The prints are great and the service is really fast. Ralph even gave me a print for free! The Free Spore Ring is great and I hope it continues for a long long time.

I just won a Pan Trop, great species. I can't wait to grow this one out. Free spore ring is great, good for newbies and connoisseurs too.

Ive gotten spores twice from the FSR.
Quicker delivery than ANY vendor. Not to mention PF whos taken 2 weeks and counting to send me a friggin book, O.K., overseas airmail takes 4 days, but not 10 days order processing.
The prints were viable and clean.
And only cost a dollar where as they would have cost anywhere up to 23 dollars elsewhere.
I would have donated 11 prints, but the bastards at the mail service seem to have stolen them. So if your ever donating prints over seas, dont take them on foil.

foaf has gotten Pan trops and pc Peurtos. The Peurtos germed clean in only two days on agar. He also just won a Cambodian print in the exchange forum.
The packaging is a little inconsistent. However, it's cool to see how others take their prints. Also, foaf knows the care that he put into the prints he sends to FSR. So he has faith that others take the same care.
Everyone that contributes from shroomery should write their nym on the print package. yeah, that would be fun..

i see....i made 3 syringes from the print, the first batch seems to be colonizing nicely...so i would say i got a good print:) only comment would be to put them on a different medium than paper. a lot of the spores fall off in the mail, and then when you scrape the remaining spores off the paper, you get a lot of little chunks of paper in the syringe. i would say 30% of the spores on the print fell off and attached themselves to the scotch tape holding the print closed.

As a matter of fact I'll finally be using the camby print I recieved from the FSR alittle while ago for my first attempt at cultivating some SHROOMS....

I've never tried to get anything from the fsr, but I did send a couple of huge b+ prints yesterday. I think its a great way for those without much cash to get into this hobby. After they become a little more proficient with growing, they can start supporting the introduction of new strains by ordering from reputable vendors like Ryche, Max and 3m.
