my yahoo has a shitload of space. Enough to get really lazy with. So why do you need an invite for gmail?

It's Googles email.
you need an invite because it's still in beta. 1000mb's of storage space, and you can archive all your emails, and when you need one you can just use a search feature.

don't they have the ability to search all your emails by keywords and shit, though? i remember reading something about it compromising security because if you mentioned something illegal in your email, or something related to "terrorism" it might trigger flags...

did they get rid of that, or was it just paranoid-internet-nerd gossip?
