Just watched this show on VH1...

I just watched this show called "Totally Obsessed" on VH1 and one of the people on the show was this chick who WANTED to be 600 pounds.  She drank two 3500 calorie shakes a day (in addition to normal meals) and is trying to reach 600 pounds because she thinks the bigger she is, the more sexy she is.  What she does is, the bigger she gets, the skimpier the clothing is

Why would someone want to do this to their body?  someone needs to tell her that what she is doing is just downright unhealthy :noway:.  Why would you set a goal to reach 600 pounds?  That's another thing is this world I will never understand :lipsrsealed:

on the other hand, you probably oogle over the very thin women in magazines, which causes girls to be anorexic/bulemic... which is just as bad as being too fat.

I'm not condoning what this girl is doing... just saying there's a more serious problem at hand on the other side of the spectrum.

I actually don't like the very very skinny look.  I like it when women have some meat of there bones...that whole anorexic model look isn't for me. I understand what you mean though, there is a lot of pressure on women to be slim and so they just don't eat any food thinking the skinnier the better (which of course is not the case).  What I'm saying is, why would someone want to be obese...what good qualities come from being 600 pounds?  Why would someone say "well, 160 is a little light, I think I'm gonna shoot for 600" :confused:

i was thinking about this issue just the other day cause my bf's housemates get all the maxim/fhm/stuff/playboy mags and i'm like ugh... women have so much pressure to be beautiful. good thing theres women mags like cosmo/etc... oh wait... theres beautiful women on those mag covers, too!!!!

gah theres nowhere to hide
