Now just for the sake of laying this issue to rest I'm going to go ahead and lay it on the line one final time:

I feel that OTD has become a huge detriment to the Shroomery as a whole.

here are some tidbits from a PM I recently sent one of the administration:

..I believe that It's already happening as seen in the deterioration of the support group, PA&L, and other "respectable' forums which have seen quite a lot of negativity of late.

..If containment efforts in fact begin to break down, this brings you right back to the initial dilemma, except that the problem will have grown that much worse, and implimenting the real cure will then be that much more stressful to the archetecture of the Shroomery.

I would drink a couple of shots of whiskey, dump the OTD, weather the ensuing storm, and allow the true healing process to begin. After some time, and i really don't believe it would take all that long, the Shroomery would re-gain its equalibrium and be a much more wholesome and healthy place.

I honestly believe this model to be correct, but only time will tell if I am right, no matter what course of action you guys choose.

Feel free to repost these thoughts of mine in the administration forum for review by the rest of the admins if you like.

That's just how I feel, and it ain't gonna change because you come in here screaming "OMG he's doing it again!!"

Well of course there's always going to be people who are going to disagree with one another, especially in PA&L And S&P! That's what these forums are for - to encourage the free exchange of ideas. But I'd hardly call that negativity. And if someone starts making personal attacks in any of these forums, they are quickly given the boot.

But I hardly see OTD as being the cause of this or "polluting" these forums. Should we ban you for making negative posts in WA&F? Of course not! I, for one would hollar about that just as much as if they had closed OTD because someone was of the opinion that it made these forums more negative. BTW, This is not intended as a flame, just my opinion.

really otd is vital to the shroomery as a whole, as it acts as a place for shroomerites to blow off steam and to post things they don't want visable to non-regeistered visitors. It allows old cultivators (who no longer cultivate, but still want to hang around) who would otherwise have nothing to do on the shroomery stay and shoot the shit. Frankly, without otd, old otders will come here and slowly the pub will turn into an otd. OTD isn't hurting the site abit, it is invisible to non-members, and otders do not spread anything bad outside of otd because they know what will happen if they did. I see no harm in having a forum such as otd.

I feel that the only reason why you are pushing so hard for this is because of your silly vendetta with geordi and a few others, kthnx.
