Why wont my monotub pin?

Hello!

Im trying to grow me some Mazatapec, but even after 2 weeks of fruiting conditions, i still se no pins at all. Some places the mycelium has starting to bruise a little bit, and showing some cream-tanned spots a few places, in both tubs around the same time. Can someone tell if thats normal or is it contamination? I fan two times a day. I mist if needed, i would say maybe once every 3 days. The spawn is rye, mixed with cvg 3 to 1 and was colonizing for 10 days before introducing to fruiting conditions. Its a 60liters tub.

Or am i simply being too impatient..?

A man of few words, i like it!

Is there any way to tell where/when the bacteria been introduced? In my humble opinion, i have been a good boy with clean/sterile technique in every step of the way.

it coulda been from alot of things but ya im sure there was signs in the jar but ya :thumbup:

Fanning is an extinct idea, give that up, and you probs won't have to mist so much. I would let it rock, if you don't get pins after a month, throw out; but start another grow in the meanwhile. And as mentioned above learn how to spot bacterial spawn, its more difficult to spot as they're not so directly visible.

Definitely start a new project in the interim.

However, you need to stop misting and fanning. It's only hurting the grow. You may be surprised what you end up with if you leave it alone.

I honestly had no idea about fanning and misting would hurt the grow. It seems like a lot of the things i thought i had learned has already been completly outdated..
