NMT vs. DMT effects

I'm very inexperienced with the tryptamines. Several years back I was successful at an extraction of a considerable amount of Acacia Confusa and experienced it a few times.  But in my generosity, I shared the love and it went fast with my freinds.

I was considering trying it again.  Mimosa hostilis is considerably more expensive, but seems to reliably contain more DMT (in addition to being an easier extraction).  But after some reading, it seems that acacia has a lot of NMT compared to mimosa.  Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate the "lift off" stage of mimosa derived DMT is a little more jarring.  Some prefer the NMT buffer of acacia derived DMT.
I've tried acacia derived DMT 3 times, and never tried mimosa derived DMT.

Can people with some experience chime in on this?  I'm intending to use it therapeutically, to help address some serious depression I'm trying to get insights on.  I'm not intending to use it as a recreational/party drug

Also, I think it's against the rules for me to ask what a preferred source of root bark is.  But if anyone could pount me towards a forum that would allow that question, I'd be grateful.  I looked up several I found on the Nexus, but the suppliers seem to be out of business.  I'm willing to pay for quality, but from what I understand acacia especially can be really variable.  I'd hate to drop $200 to obtain 1g...

I may be wrong, but dont you extract only dmt with those teks and leave other alkaloids behind? so it would not matter from what plant you are extracting, but mimosa has the highest dmt content afaik

When you do the acidic extraction, the thing that gets protonated (and therefore takes on a charge) is the amine in the side chain.  NMT and DMT both have the side chain amine (NMT has one methyl group, DMT has 2),so they should both be able to protonate and dissolve in water. 

I was just curious of the effects of the presence or absence of NMT.  From what I understand, acacia 's tryptamine content can be around 50% of the total, but mimosa has very little.

Extractions will pull NMT, DMT, Bufotine, & 5-meo-DMT the same from what I learned on the DMT Nexus  and below is how to separate with acetone as well as dry ice

NMT on its own is an interesting and enjoyable tryptamine and I prefer using a full spectrum extract but if you want an experience more like Mimosa then do a separation
