I worked at a pizza shop when I was younger. The street we were on had a series of robberies. Dude was a fucking idiot robbing restaurants and shops in the same small area up and down the street. There were pictures of him in his jacket with a mask on being passed around all over the place.

Anyway the dude tried to rob our shop in the most comical way possible, acting like he had a gun in his jacket pocket and demanding cash from the front register. And two dudes who fantasized about that specific guy coming in and trying to rob us for way too long hit him with a metal pizza peel and broke the dudes arm with the thin edge of the peel. The other guy had a prep knife and was yelling at him to fuck off, and the robber immediately noped out of the door after his arm was broke.

It was pretty tense really, and we're lucky he probably didn't have a real gun. But there were no more robberies on the street after. Most kitchens are actually pretty terrible spots to rob what with all the sharp weapons laying around and coked out cooks.

Friday is pizza day at my university. If you hang around until the end (or just arrive really late) you can take the leftovers home. I am going to see what I can snag.

Not gonna lie, that's kinda fuckin' metal, right there.  Also, yeaaaah...rule #2 of robberies (after "don't shit where you eat"): don't knock over a place where the people have fire superiority and may or may not be either drunk off their ass or on a mountain of cocaine.

You could make more pizza by robbing a grain Mill than you would robbing a pizza joint.

I keep telling you guys you need to make your pizzas from scratch and then you will have your money's worth.

Made some pizzas on the flat top last night as a spontaneous experiment and they turned out really nice. Gotta dial in the recipe a teensy bit but it absolutely worked.

I will! I suspect my boss will get obsessed with dough recipes so I'm fully prepared to get creative with combinations of toppings that accentuate our sausage, bacon, and probably chorizo.

Also, this feels like the perfect time to try out my hairbrained idea about brushing the crust with my lard.
