Anyone using mushrooms daily or near daily?

I have ochra capsules 400mg around 1.3% actives so 5mg ish psilocybin per capsule.  I was taking these 3 days a week when doing weight workouts as a pre workout with good results (focus, energy, drive), but was struggling on my cardio days a bit so I started taking them before cardio as well.  This works out to 6 days per week.  Only have been doing this for 1 week.  No real tolerance.  Nice afterglow after peak.  Definitely not microdosing as the effects are absolutely present.  I like the overall experience.  In the past when I tried taking every day I had a weird day and got spooked and quit.  Have read about all the possible heart valve stuff with stimulation of serotonin receptors in heart and that is on my radar.  Also wondering with the longevity stuff if it might actually be GOOD for you????

So has anyone taken regular doses for a long time on a near daily basis and if so how did it go?

How can you quantify the dosage. Isn’t it still a crap shoot for potency

Been taking them 4 days a week for 3 years straight ever since they magically cured my 20+ year deep pitting depression, work out on them all the time, intense cardio and heavy weight training. Feel fine, been lowering the dose cuz too much of a good thing is always bad, wouldn't be surprised if regular high doses would be linked to increased likelihood of developing arrythmias such as afib. I do monitor my blood pressure regularly and notice about 5 point increases during trips but overall lower trend, maybe due to a reduction of stress, etc. That being said, I am eternally grateful for the second chance at life and awakening. It's probably worse for you to drink alcohol, smoke, and binge eat IMO.

If you take a whole lot of dried shrooms and powder them all, then mix this powder thoroughly, the potency will be pretty evenly distributed throughout. One shroom might be stronger than the other but the strong shroom is mixed throughout as is the weak one.

We had a member who used daily amounts lower than yours for almost a year. He slowly started changing, but not in a good way. He argued more, he got more “all or nothing” extreme in his views and a bit odd (i’m a guy who got very odd during dissociative abuse for pain relief - psychedelics and dissociatives must be absolutely respected) and he ended up getting banned.

Psychedelics change you, and social behavior tends to be readily changable for better or worse.

I strongly recommend against daily use and 5mg once every 2 weeks at most, in my book.

5mg isnt a microdose, 0.25-1mg is.

When you say odd, are you referring to the disorder (Oppositional Defiance Disorder)? Otherwise, I'm not sure how being odd is a negative.

It sounds like there were other underlying issues with this person.

5mg is far less than a microdose unless you are talking about pure psilocybin and not dried fruits

You sure about that? 5mg dried fruit is definitely not micro.

Anyway, if microdosing is giving you the results that you seek, yay!

I tried .5mg three on two off for a month a while back. Neutral to maybe negative experience for me.

I am quite sure. Maybe some people have a lower tolerance.
It is actually .4g on the daily. I tried .5 and floated my ass to work so I backed off to .4

So 400mg of freeze dried ochras.  Tested at 1.3% using miraculix.  I ground up about 40 grams of freeze dried fruits, mixed it all well, tested a sample.  000capsules and stored in a vacuum in a pint jar.  After opening pint jar, I store them in the freezer in a probiotic bottle. 

One note is you have to be careful drawing a vacuum on the pint jar as the capsules will come apart...Just have to draw the vacuum slowly and they stay together.

I have taken them for 6 days a week for 2 weeks.  This works out to a little over 5mg of psilocybin which is a dose you can 100% feel.  It is quite stimulating and leaves an afterglow for hours.  No discernable development of tolerance.  The main reason I am taking it is as a preworkout.  It improves mental focus and drive during the workout.  Really does help me get an intense workout. Even seems to be physically healing.  I physically feel fantastic.

The psychic effects are a bit harder for me to sort out. It has made me less tolerant of other people in the sense of being more judgmental.  Pisses me off that people don't take better care of themselves.  Just ridiculous to think you can be a couch potato eating the SAD(Standard American Diet) and be healthy. 

Realistically I know that people are doing the best they can with what they know and just following the advice they have been exposed to.  Makes me want to teach people to do better, but when you try to talk to someone about a healthier diet or a regular exercise program, there is a lot of resistance, skepticism and all that gets frustrating quickly. 

Also has kind of made me look at my own life and ask myself what am I doing to make the world a better place.....and that leaves me feeling like I need to do more, but I don't really know what to do.

Just thoughts...these thoughts are not overwhelming or all consuming at this point, but I'm keeping an eye on them.  Taking next week off and seeing how things go. 

If I keep taking them regularly in coming months will go get an echocardiogram done just for information sake.

Read the primalsoup mini dosing journal.  I can relate.  No detectable tolerance at these low doses.  I'm gonna take the next week off with intent of a full on trip next friday if life will allow it.  Thinking about longevity promoting effects, but essentially impossible to take it in the doses they were using in mice....way too high.

my standard practice has been to dry and grind up the latest batch mixing it up to standardise the best i can , then start @ 0.25g and increase by 0.10g until i feel an 'effect' then back it down slightly.
everyone is different and each batch is different , on all the batches ive grown (standard cubes a+ ,b+ etc) i can take up to 1g before i feel anything at all, my m/doses are usually 0.5-0.75g i take a max of 3X per week but often take multiple weeks off.
imo its all about self experimentation

I think this is going to be my gameplan as I was having inconsistent results with whole fruits. Grind, put them in caps once I find the right dosage and carry on. I did a full trip last weekend and it was pretty amazing, but 3 hours somehow didn't seem like enough

5mg isn't .5 fyi, .5 is half a gram .25 is a 1/4 a gram. Milligrams aren't really used when weighing shrooms because none are really potent enough at any of those small amounts.
