It's dumb how much food is wasted, I want to see stores be forced to donate food to soup kitchens and food banks before it rots, or if it's boxed stuff donate it like a week before it expires or something, I don't understand why this isn't normal, moneys worth more then poor people eating



My boss donates to church groups and food banks when we have a truck that gets rejected. It doesn't happen too often but thats what he will do. I dont believe it costs him anything in the end it's probably just a tax write off. But at least food doesn't go to waste

I know at one of the Meijer (local grocery store) distribution center here in Michigan there's a big sign at the entrance of the facility for rejected loads to call a number and you can go to a warehouse or cross dock of some sort and they'll take it off your truck and donate

Loads get rejected for any number of dumb reasons maybe one pallet is damaged and they'll reject the entire truck load

This shit is so obsessive. I literally went to dinner last night 35 miles from where I live to get a change of scenery. There was a table behind me and company of mine and the table was like 13 people a whole family sitting there talking about this Charlie Kirk thing all night.

They were going back and forth about how some of them thought that he really deserved it and others thought it was really murder and other thought well it was really murder and he really didn't deserve it but man he was really pushing for it with all his hate speech and had it coming.

I swear they were going on for an hour about this like it was no big deal just to talk about this.

At least my dinner was good.

Why do people get obsessive with crap like this anyway? To me there's so many greater issues in front of them in life. Super extensive amounts of inflation. Generations declining health despite previous generations having accrued much better knowledge and understanding of health than the generations before them. Major advances in science and technology compared to previous generations and yet the smallest portion of the new generation of the population now really understands the point of technology or how different life is compared to how it was before.

If people want to talk about crime why not talk about the crime in your local neighborhood? Or how about looking at Facebook and Instagram for pictures of your friends cats and dogs and other pets?

I feel like this Charlie Kirk thing is another one of those incidents that totally distracts people from how much they just can't stand their own life and can't figure out their own problems and so they become obsessive and it becomes this serious talking point you almost can't do anything you almost can't go to your local laundromat and do some laundry without 50 people talking about Charlie Kirk.

You can go play basketball with your son and go take a shit in the public bathroom which is probably disgusting but at least you're like "oh man I finally get some privacy but I and I don't have to hear about that Charlie Kirk stuff anymore" and then the people taking shit right next to you are talking about Charlie Kirk.

I think right now you could drive to a cheap motel and fuck a hooker all night and all you hear in the other rooms are people banging other hookers and you're finally like "some peace and quiet from this Charlie Kirk stuff" then as you're leaving you pay the hooker and her pimp shows up and you're worried he's going to shoot you but if she's getting in the car he's just starts talking about "man so you didn't tell me the other night what you thought about this Charlie Kirk?"

Okay in all honesty is a terrible murder. Who would do such a thing? Did Charlie Kirk have it coming? I don't know LOL I mean he talked a lot of crap I mean he talked a lot of crap and when I say he talked a lot of crap I mean he talked a lot of crap.

It's really hard to have a very definitive point of view on this sort of thing. I don't think I'm getting his head blown off was very appropriate human behavior. He pushed a lot of people he pushed a lot of people and I mean he pushed a lot of people. He went from place to place to place talking about abortion and questioning women to have conversations about their bodies and all kinds of stuff his main thing was "prove me wrong."

If I didn't know any better I'd almost think this was his life's mission. But he wanted to become some martyr. Like he was like "I'm going to go around arguing this crap pissing people off debating woke liberals but one day someone's going to blow me away and the whole world's going to talk about a Non-Stop and I'm a martyr for the cause. I will be killed with a weapon and that very weapon is the agenda I'm trying to push that you have a right to own that weapon according to the Constitution and the second amendment you have a right to arm yourself and basically just shoot people you disagree with because if you can't shoot people you disagree with then the government's going to become too powerful. But meanwhile I'm going to be friends the most powerful people in the government and have tons of allies. The very government lobbyists themselves will finance my cause.

And I know for all the complaining I'm doing about how annoying it is to just hear people obsessively talk about Charlie Kirk non-stop day and night here I am talking about him. Here I am doing the one thing that I disagree with contradicting myself totally.

But I'm just saying. Okay it's terrible right? Wether you liked him or not it's terrible. I mean this is what people do now whenever they have some problem with their life they sit on a rooftop and start assassinating people with a sniper rifle the same way it happened to JFK in Dallas well over 50 years ago.

But that's not what this is about people are not discussing how terrible it is that people are sitting there picking people off on top of rooftops from half a mile away with a sniper rifle. People are not complaining that psychopathic individuals they can't get their life together because they couldn't afford their mortgage or whatever are literally these days just sitting on top of rooftops with the skills to gauge the difference between a Target in front of them and a Target half a mile to a mile away based on things that will affect the bullet like gravity and wind and humidity and coriolis Force and just have no problem just taking a perfect shot.

I even read an article the other day that said the killer actually fired two shots one hit Charlie Kirk in a bulletproof vest that he was wearing that nobody could see and the other hit his neck.

Is there any substantial proof to that? But like I said does it even matter? Why am I even bringing this up?

It's awful human life was taken away. But I think the most amazing thing to people is that this guy went out arguing with woke liberals for years and made so much money it's not even funny just going around having podcasts and pushing his forum of "prove me wrong."

That is what is literally the most interesting thing to people right? If you go out among a black lives matter crowd and push your agenda of arguing and debating local liberals about why abortion is wrong you can make millions of dollars and go around for years accruing political allies and financing but one day someone that disagrees with you is going to blow your head off. So why didn't this happen sooner?

But how much longer are people going to be like fanatically obsessive about it where you can't go out and like get a burger or whatever you can't go to the gas station and put some air in your tires and put some gas in your car you can't go out and mow your own lawn without overhearing people talking about Charlie Kirk? How much longer I ask?????

Are people really afraid of rooftop snipers shooting them when they want to get their message across that the world is not a place to push your agenda against woke liberals?? As in safety? As in assassins just popping people off because they're psychopath and they have access to rifles is wrong?

Or people just fascinated that maybe they are a serious right-wing fundamentalist conservative pushing anti-abortion agendas and maybe they will be popped off because someone claims they want to silence their fascist agenda? Or maybe they themselves are hardcore woke liberals far left and they think that they're tired of hearing Republicans saying that woke liberals are pushing for communism and I just identical versions of Stalin and care too much about Marxism but the point of the story here is when people call you a pussy as abortion defending woke liberal the best thing you can do is get up on the roof with your 30-06 gauge the wind and gravity and a few other factors I start popping off on people to silence them when they want to silence you??????

When I talk to young people that say they don't care they just want change, I try and make the point that things really can get worse then they are now.  They do not believe me.  I really think people do not understand what they have from the government cause they have never been with out it and so take it for granted and not that it is because of government. I think this lack of recognition leads to just wanting to tear down all based on the few things you don't like rather then trying to save the parts that are good and trying to tweek the bad.  If you don't even know, you don't know where to start.

I guess the case of going and spewing hate speech Non-Stop being something that's wrong goes out the window when you're willing to shoot him.

His point is just even stronger. Technically speaking he didn't come into my home he didn't come into my car and talk about abortion. I could just ignore him or turn him off.

The point of second amendment right now are just even stronger. He wasn't hateful he simply "agreed to disagree. Prove me wrong. You can defend yourself way better with a gun."

Now the issue has so much clarity. If the crowd had been armed with sniper rifles they would have seen the assassin and shot him first.

People loved him though. How didn't they? If they didn't love him they wouldn't have gone and argued with him who cares. It's not like he was a politician. People love fueling hate and conflict instead of trying to deal with their issues.

His cause just gets stronger. Nobody would have even cared what he thought. Nobody at all. It wouldn't have made one bit of difference. As far as I'm concerned his message just got so clear and strong by making him a martyr for the cause.

I know I said things throughout my life that was hateful, prejudice and ignorant. I'm sure we all have.

How would you feel if when you die people summarised you only by those things? Disregarding the full scope of your being?

Can you really not imagine that he had some things of value to say as well?

Yes, he was inflamitory with his speech, but have you watched a full video and not just compilations?

We should try to see the humanity in eachother and when we are one on one with eachother someone has to have the balls to extend an invitation to true civil discussion first. It could be you, or it could be the other person - but it could be you right now.

Getting shot might and should garner sympathy but will not change the life led.  He is not being martyred for his message but an effort to martyr him is going on as a use of his death as a tool to own the libs.  If you take the prove me wrong that you typed several time, you would have to see he is being used as a tool to keep any effort from happening that might prove him wrong by trying to shut down any talk that might.  Trump and his sycophants don't even want anybody to hear parts of what kirk said himself.  Who knows for sure what works or doesn't but I am not convinced that those trying to martyr him might just be highlighting the bad and that message might win.  It will not change that there is a murder involved as both can be true but the shifting blame from the murderer may not work so well if it highlights the kirk message as well.

While I do take note of his rhetoric, I believe most things you listed there are quoted without full context or nuance. Please don't interperet that I am saying he did not say those things or that I agree with what he said, but there was a reasoning behind most of those statements from a republican perspective.

What I fear is something that is already happening whereby people are being categorised as Nazis in your country. In effect this is dehumanizing them and making viewpoints such as your own easily digestible and ultimately making good people justify bad behaviour.

In context, did you start an organization who's function was to influence government to form a christen fundamentalists government based on replacement theory? If a serial killer saved a child from drowning once, which would take precedent when it came to talking about them after they pass?  When putting into context which you have brought up several times, on your list of positives and negatives, which will garner the after death talk?

I wish your country and mine would try and be more right then wrong and that empathetic messages would have more force then hateful ones..

I just think it's not good for our minds and hearts to wish death on eachother, even those who wish death on us.

Self-defense is something different, but murdering someone who said something that stirs fear for what might happen in the future is not really self-defense, imo.
