  • Tomatoes: You will need about 3 or 4 large beefsteak tomatoes for this recipe, or about 1.5 pounds tomatoes. (I usually remove some of the excess liquid from the tomato before adding to the food processor if they are extra juicy. This way the salsa is not overly watery.) Otherwise you can also substitute the beefsteak tomatoes with other varieties like fresh roma tomatoes or tomatoes on the vine.

       
  • Green bell pepper: Both the fresh bell pepper and jalapeno add a lot of great flavor to this dish.

  •     Yellow onion: Or simply substitute white onion or red onion. Green onion is a great addition as well.

  •     Garlic cloves: Feel free to add more or less depending on how much you enjoy the flavor. The raw onion and garlic flavors do mellow a bit after the salsa chills in the fridge.

  •     Jalapeno pepper: Use more or less jalapeno depending on how much spice you prefer. In my experience, jalapenos can range in their spiciness, so use cautiously if you don't want it overly spicy. I remove the seeds and ribs before using.

  •     Fresh cilantro

  •     Fresh lime juice: You will need about one lime for this recipe. For extra lime flavor you can also include a bit of lime zest as well.

  •     Ground cumin: This adds a slightly earthy, warm flavor to accent the salsa. However feel free to omit if you're not a fan of cumin.

  •     Salt: I use fine grain salt for this recipe. Use as much or as little as desired. If you find the flavors in the salsa don't quite "pop", then simply add a pinch more salt.


Pulse in a blender or food processor.

I just looked that up, before I saw your comment, you think reckful killed himself because he had livestreamed sessions with Dr k? I don't think Dr k really is responsible that a guy suicided, it would be like blaming my nutritionist that I'm fat, they gave me advice and I couldn't handle it

On the flip side to argue that point, learning about Vedic psychology stuff can make be kinda depressing, like last night I gave into one of my addictions and I was starting to think it's vasana(mental habit) and I'll never be able to beat it and my brain will always do the same mental habits, and I'm basically doomed lol I got kinda depressed, but it was 3am and I couldnt sleep so my brain wasn't working at its finest

I find Dr k's content extremely entertaining, and it's been helpful for me, I have pages of stuff I've written down to talk to someone about I didn't even realize about myself, and it made me want to reach out to a therapist instead of just trying to white knuckle shit on my own, and it got me looking into different types of meditation instead of just the sorta western meditation I learned in cbt classes when I was in the mental ward

Edit: also his videos made me want to quit all drugs, even caffeine

Dr. K promised Reckful, who was a prominent streamer and deeply mentally disturbed and isolated young man, that he would be his "best friend for a year" on livestream for clout, as he was having a mental breakdown, and then ditched him over ethical concerns before he offed himself.
