Others will know better than I will on that but I think it's a slippery slope misting. The substrate itself soaks up a bunch of the misting before you can see water droplets like that. From what I've gathered misting again this soon is kind of a last resort but honestly I really don't know. My gut says see how the closed tub and increased humidity does first but I really don't know tbh.

Hopefully Vicepope or someone chimes in. I really don't have the expierence nessicary to confidently advise ya here. I just know I did my whole grow with the lid on and only misted once. Tbh it was growing well so when I checked it, it was more a smell check and making sure I saw good signs of healthy growth. My cakes could've been dry surface condition wise and I wouldn't have realized it.

Looking good so far :thumbup: PE can blob a bit but you can still eat em and they'll get you where you need to go. Generally if you get blobs, the second flush will normally be normal fruits.

With the blobs let them keep growing until they soften up a bit and then pick and dehydrate. You can feel them now to see how they're pretty solid and don't give much and when they are ready it'll feel closer to a marshmallow and have some give to it.

Cool, thanks!  I am just confused on EXACTLY how to harvest. I can’t find any real teks on it, maybe bc you basically just harvest as normal but trying to disturb the substrate as little as possible

You can either pull them off or cut them off. If you twist and pull, it'll likely take a bit of the substrate with it which isn't really a big deal and if you decide to cut em at the base try and get as close as possible to the cake. I never did PE on cakes but in my tubs blobs were mostly easy to twist and pull out. But you seem to have it right. You'll figure out how you like to do it when you actually get there and harvest. Don't over think it!

I def am overthinking a lot, I just haven’t worked with the strain yet and I know all the variables can be critical at times.

2 weeks since fruiting conditions, 9 days since flipping the lid.

This cake is the fastest, pinning blobs right after flipping the lid



The rest of the cakes, all have blobs, a few have shroom pins



Even some underneath the cake! I didn’t put foil underneath, I figured the whole surface area of the cake can be used, but the ones underneath may look a lil funky.

Ok the last time I misted was Saturday (2.5 days ago). I’ve been watching videos about misting more during fruiting, even squirting the substrate with water or injecting it with water.

How would I go about bottom watering these cakes?

Thanks ! lol. I think it could be better, though,  I’m in a new place and can’t figure out how to control the temps that well. I finally just have the thermostat off, it stays around  75 F but if I bake/cook, or take a shower the temps rise to around 81F, and stay there unless I open a window, which then obv it might get too cold (like 71F) if I am away.

Anyways, do you have an answer to my watering question?? I think I’m going to bottom water half the cakes for 4 hours and then inject the other half of the cakes, not sure with how much water yet tho

So, I ended up with 30.78 grams dry (EDIT: from the first flush…the cakes are colonizing the coir right now for the second flush) which was how much I was expecting.  The thing is, I dosed one gram this past weekend, and then after ~40-50 min it kicked in good but leveled off, so I took another 1.1 gram and it didn’t seem to do much. Don’t get me wrong, I felt AMAZING, a lot like a really clean, natural-feeling MDMA roll.  I played on my bed and it felt like I was giving the world a hug, a lot of empathy & self-love as well.  But no visuals, really no mindfuck trip at all.  I was wondering what could be the reason? I feel like I have to get a Psilo-Q-Test, but also have other ppl try it. I think I might have picked the shroom I ate a little too late and it lost potency. This is my first PE grow and it was a bit difficult to tell when to harvest due to no veil. 

It’s just from what I’ve read from PE 2.1 grams should have melted everything! Def was not the case.

This is 4 days into placing in fruiting conditions (with the lid closed) for the second flush. There’s a bit of mycelium showing, but not nearly like it was this time the 1st flush. There’s some shrooms forming on 3 cakes already, however.

Should I flip the lid or wait?
