Me, Kevin & Durian shoot the shit in another thread. It’s an inside joke we have. Loosely tied together with Russell Brand.
It’s all very meta.

I wish more people engaged in self censorship. Every thought doesn't need to be communicated.

Every thought doesn't need to be communicated.

:dubious:

It’s ironic, isn’t it?

It’s just petty. My original comment is on topic and concise.

Durian (on an off day) and Barnaby (on any day) would be meta.

Anyone ever see those two in the same room together? :hmm:

There are alot of fact checkers, online. Do you believe that inaccurate information should be censored?

It becomes a bit of a moot point because the paranoid contrarians just end up believing it harder because THE MAN doesn't want you to know the TRUTH.

I think the internet really raises the question: what is "speech?"

But it's been a big one ever since the advent of mass media like radio and TV.

I'm 100% in favor of free speech, with free speech also extending to condemnation and erasure of other speech. Shouldn't be a governmental thing. And in a perfect world, everyone would have equal capacity when it comes to both generating media and removing it- one unit at a time.

The usual cadre, saying how conservatives are contrarians, will not remove information from here, on request.

It is necessary to distinguish between freedom of expression and incitement to crime.

pedophilia, rape, murders, preaching hate and admittedly fake news...

I agree but it's pretty black and white. Something is illegal to say or not. Can easily be looked up. I'm very pro censorship in those cases.

Welcome to the shroomery. :mushroom2:
