And even then, the law say, you can’t touch them

Although I don’t respect those who respect that law

So, if someone posted your name, address, social security number, and videos of your wife taking a train, you'd be okay with that and not seek to have that content taken down?

I flatly don't believe that two people, anywhere, ever, were created equal at anything.

But, how are we to know whether our censors are superior examples of humanity?

Yes I am pro censorship. I find lots of movies too gory for me. They should tone it down and be friends.

Realroll doesn’t have a wife, he has a feral chipmunk that lives under his porch and wants nothing to do with him.

Again  a complete disingenuous comment from enlil.

Enlil what you’re referring to are breaches of personal privacy/the dissemination of secure personal data, which would be theft.  That has nothing to do with free speech/censorship.  The two are different.  And just for the record: there is no free speech without privacy.

Disseminating data isn't theft.  That's ridiculous.  Also, privacy and free speech are always at odds with each other.  HIPAA is a curtailment of speech in order to maintain privacy.  You'd do away with that and simply allow anyone to share any of your private information at any time.  After all, you specifically advocated for "zero censorship."

Yeah, why can’t I know exactly what medication‘s you take and make judgments about you based off of that information.
Possibly not accepting you into some thing or not allowing your application because of that information that I now have full access to.

The ratings are the most insidiously coercive form of censorship possible: internalizing the censor, turning it into a part of  yourself, potentially making it impossible to speak your own mind for fear of risking the approval of those who you must curry favor in the constant maintenance of a rating, regardless of how you actually feel about them or the qualities of their ideas and opinions.

That's a long winded way to say someones a snowflake and can't take being scrutinized by their peers on an online forum.

Yes and I termed “zero censorship” in regards to speech—not action.  And it absolutely is theft if someone hacks your personal information (social security/medical info etc) and leaks that to others.
There are dozens of laws in regards to actions like that in your country and mine.

And no privacy and free speech are not at odds.  And no you can’t have one without the other…unless you’d prefer to do away with private property.  There’s no HIPAA here where I live, btw.

Very basic.  Im astounded a supposed lawyer can’t grasp it.

Still I’ll happily say in regards to speech and expression that does not equate physical bodily action/criminal activity:  zero censorship.  I’m an adult.  The children of others are the responsibility of those who bore them.

Sorry?

It’s a way for people to leave a thought about you that was lasting. Whether that’s a good one or a bad one.

They can serve as a warning. Or an acknowledgment.

By denying anyone the ability to say anything about you. It could feel as if you were trying to hide something.

You're the only one who said anything about hacking. I spoke solely of dissemination of information.

So you are okay with a therapist or doctor sharing his information about you publicly?  Alright...that's cool, I suppose.

You're okay with someone using threats to get another person to do something?  You're okay with a company lying about their product?  You're okay with someone telling everyone that you raped her even though it's not true?
