I get a pretty high proportion of negative ratings it seems. I generally try not to do revenge ratings and I reserve judgement for later. Sometimes (most of the time) if I do end up rating a person who gave me a low rating it is three or more. I try not to spread negativity through the ratings because some people seem to take them quite personally.

It's kind of funny how people generally only give 1 or 5 mushroom ratings, since if you're going to like someone enough to give them 4 mushrooms, it's kind of insulting not to go all the way with 5.


I'm happy that I've received only 1 bad rating from someone who was angry about a statement I made about mp3s, since he knew some people who lost their jobs in the music industry. He later changed it from a 1 to 4 since I told him my side of the story. I'm also in the music biz, as a recording enginer/musician who gets screwed over from the way recording contracts work, so I have to work around the inclusionary radio stations like Clear Channel and media giants who's contracts put the musicians who work for them in debt. I understand his side of it though, so it doesn't really bother me (that was much longer than I intended to write, sorry).

There's many people on the shroomery who deserve nothing but kind words.  I find it very depressing when people give horrible ratings and say rude things...just for revenge.

There is some extraordinary people in this community  :heart:

Ripple is like a Dead show, where love and peace are overflowing, and "kind" is the way to be. Some people just give off the vibe, or ripple in this case hehe. People like that just make the shroomery a better place over all.
