Hey so does this mean this culture is no good to use for making grain spawn?


Been reading up and it seems like maybe this is jst a sign of a strong fruiting culture, as well as full colonization of the plate. Which is good cuz imma propogate this shit for my big ass tubs.

Yeah this is a B+ clone. Have another B+ clone plate that came from an albino that popped up in one of my tubs, but i thnk it was due to conditions cuz the sporz were black as midnight.

Why would it be no good? It's pinning, you got an amazing culture right there.

Only thing that possibly looks a little suspect is the bubbles near the top of the plate? Or are those just water droplets?

Actually i thought i had to move and it was a hairy situation, so i trimmed down to jst my masters. I had a bunch of good shit going too. Had to toss it all in a hurry. Owe well no big.

Plates are growing nicely. Got a few contams but nothing i cudnt jst cut out.
Got some shoeboxes going for clone selection and to give it a try between big harvests. Got LGT on the left, PESA in the middle, and PE on the right. The LGT looks dry af under there, idk.


Also gotta box of Mazzy slowly colonizing over here:


Im not gonna get up and take a pic cuz im stoned and cant be bothered atm but that original B+ clone plate is pinning like crazy now. The myc is fairly ravenous as well.

What did you case it with ? I usually just let them be if you give it more nutes it will prolong that pinning stage

Like a boss Haha pe really c0nsumes everything you can case with a thicker casing next time if you like but I have always had pe eat up everything

True as hell. Don't worry about the consumption happening to your casing. That's pretty typical. Focus on keeping those surface conditions dialed in, that's the most important thing at this stage. Good luck fam.

Hehe yeah i actually got all defensive when this dude tokd me i was wrong and PE does indeed colonize 50/50+ like a pseudo casing. Then he showed me pics. Shit i shud prolly ask that dude what he does but cant remember the post. Plus i wudnt completely begrudge him for telling me to go kick rocks.

I thought i was suppose to patch with fresh casing when myc began to show through, but this culture is fucking ravenous. I wud have jst put another layer on over time. Which leads me to believe i cased too soon. I prolly didnt follow directions properly or something. I mean a casing is suppose to case so... i'll have to go back and do some research. But yeah, fuck it hehe
