The bus is essentially for people on the run or on the no fly list. Essentially 100% criminal element

ive taken greyhound several times over the last two years and i see the busses carrying freight as well as luggage and passengers. the largest thing ive seen was a front end of an automoblie. safest bet would be to visit the nearest station and talk to the clerks or the drivers and just ask them what the size/weight limits are and pricing.

ive driven coast to coast 3 times. the last time was an express trip, Pittsburgh, PA to Sacramento, CA. two drivers, switched off every 6 hours and drove straight thru, no stopping for anything other than gas. took approximately 40 hours and $250 worth of fuel (1989 Crysler LeBaron)

id say the best way would be renting a car because its a flat rate and you dont have to pay per mile, just gas. and you can rent an ecomony car thats great on gas. driving with a friend would be fun if you can invite somene.

my friend was guna ship me his drum set because i was guna buy it from him and UPS wanted like $800. i think the weight was over 100lbs but still thats a lot.

Is it possible to rent a car in Seattle and drop off in Houston?  How much doesn't cost to rent? Never done that before

Sure southwest has pretty cheap fares from Seattle to Houston. Probably cheaper than the bus. I bet you could find flights under $150. Southwest you can buy a one way ticket and there’s no bag fee.

There are some $174 fares in early July

Is this legit? No baggage fees?

Yes.

You get two free bags under 50 lbs, however, the fish have to be packed nicely, in styrofoam etc. Doesn't look like southwest flies out of alaska, however, seattle to Texas is like $300.

yeah you can pick up from one state and drop off in another. idk if they charge extra for that.

prices vary based on car size and range anywhere from $30-$100+ per day. small cars are on the $30-$50 range. 3 days woukd be $90 plus tax n fees. gas prices are high right now. Seattle to Houston is 2300 miles, divided by 35mpg car is roughly 66 gallons of fuel. 66 multiplied by $3.25 per gallon equals $214.50

Well enterprise is charging out the ass. I would need a rental company that won't try to rape me

Can't some of us just be in between cars and too afraid to fly?

I mean yeah technically I'm a criminal but it's not preventing me from flying.
