Did they lie to us about salt?

I saw a youtube video that convinced me to eat more salt, its actually very healthy for you and low sodium diets are dangerous, I now take 1 measuring teaspoon of salt before I drink my coffee and another 1 teaspoon of salt before I exercise

oh ya and get sea salt from an ancient sea like celtic,redmond or himalyon sea salts because modern day sea salt has micro plastics in it

I thought this thread was going to be about how the government is killing us by putting too much salt in our food. There’s simply too much salt in the food man. Causes so many health problems. Like high blood pressure etc things of that nature. I have to cut back on the salt myself actually now that I think about it. It’s a killer.

I had to cut salt so much when my kidneys were dying. It really isn't something to be praised. Once you start to look; processed foods are just filled with so much fucking salt.

that sucks about your kidneys, thats a legit reason to cut salt, processed foods are bad, but the salt is good, I saw a video

You need salt, but too much raises bp by un-bypassable physical factors.
Isn't it like, 3g the high end of the recommended dose? Its a mineral, and in general minerals are easier to get too much of then water soluble vitamins.
Also I hear they haven't ever induced diabetes with sugar alone
Just my perception, so, take it for what it is

it is balanced you lose 1 teaspoon of salt from drinking 4 cups of coffee and you lose 1/2-1 teaspoon of salt from one hour of exercise, im just replenishing what I loss

it raises your systolic blood pressure by 2.25 points according to the second video I posted which is negligible to me

diabetes is caused by insulin resistance

Being fat, but also eating saturated fat in meat, causes insulin resistance.
I'm not a vegan, bit they get the health arguments right.
Perhaps sugar can contribute, but as far as I know carbohydrates, even refined, are less aptly stored and can't cause diabetes.

they cause diabetes by spiking your insulin and over time those spikes in insulin cause your body to become less sensitive to it, like tolerance to alcohol
