There's a natgeo video at the bottom of that link where a guy drinks ultra pure water in a lab. They just say it's bad if you drink it for an extended period of time.

When it comes down to it none of us know shit; especially when it comes to shit like what the earth actually is. All we know is what we believe; often humans mistake their faith in ideology (science / religion) as being truth / reality. But in reality the closest we can come to true knowledge is our awareness of the present moment. Everything beyond that is completely based upon faith; the further you get from the present moment, and the more ideas/people you have to put your faith in in order to believe something is true the further away you are from knowledge and the closer you are to ideology / faith.

So when it comes to something like the shape of the earth, 99% of humans have never seen the earth from space; more than 99% have never orbited the earth in such a way as to be able to discern it's shape from multiple sides; so essentially in order for someone to believe the earth is a globe (or flat) is dependent upon the faith of hundreds of people and ideas that for the most part the average person will never actually test to determine whether or not it is true. So in the end it all comes down to faith and belief. Is someone stupid for believing the earth is flat? No more so than someone who wholeheartedly believes the earth is round with no first-hand experience.

That said one could argue that given the reports of other people on average who claim to have evidence to the point that the odds are good that the earth is round and is a globe. Though those who have frequented the psychedelic realm with the purpose of diving into the nature of reality/philosophy/quantum physics/etc it is clear that reality may be a lot less solid than we may wish to believe; and that in reality we may have no clue as to what's going on (as my man McKenna often mentions)

in the end it might as well be a coin toss as to what is true and 'real' outside of the awareness of the present experience.
