If you go back to the scare crow later in the n64 version he tells you to fuck off

Ah Conkers Bad Fur Day, the only Mature game released on N64. I loved that game, especially when I was stoned :yesnod:

The multiplayer mode was epic as well :yesnod:

I used to love this game, my buddy would bring over his 64 and we'd drink beer, smoke weed and play 4 player split screen until the sun came up... Good times.

I miss playing multiplayer games with buddies actually in the same room.

I remember being in 3rd grade and Conkers was the game to play and talk about. I went from Banjoo and Kazooie to Conkers, what a drastic change but it was great. My mom hated it. Good stuff :lol:

got Conker's Bad Fur Day on release day
there was a big warning label on it that it was not to be sold to anyone under 18
was like...11-14 at the time?
but our local walmart was so familiar with me coming in every Tuesday to pick up cds with the same warning on them that they let it slide
tho Mom would have come in and vouched for picking it up for me anyway

Greg the grim reaper was one of my favourite video game characters

also remember doing multiplayer matches with the neighbours
the different modes were such stupid fun for kids
especially the one where you played as a dino trying to eat people stealing eggs

There seems to be a lot of china remakes of the game. Still hella pricey. Shoutout to the kid who showed me this game, and would bring it over to play multiplayer, kyle.

I never got to play this. I loved Rareware's other classics - Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

Rareware were a bunch of geniuses. Sad Microsoft bought them, then shut them down and sent the employees elsewhere in Microsoft.

I highly recommend playing the original. Its awesome. The remake version looks great but all the funny crude jokes were taken out, which is the best part of Conkers in my opinion.

The Xbox version came out in my high school years
the actual main negative for me was the graphics
part of why the game 'worked' in my opinion was that it was colourful and graphically reminiscent of stuff like Banjo Kazooie
Xbox made Conker more detailed and gruff looking, and that eliminated some of the charm of a cutesy cartoon character doing obscene things
