i am pretty sure he didnt mean they would come search me for this instance but he meant if for any reason i got into trouble they will have some reason to prove me guilty and search me.

Cops don't prove guilt preceding a search. They establish probable cause preceding a search. Being charged with a crime precedes a court trial where the presumption of guilt precedes a guilty or not guilty verdict.

Using a TOR browser isn't probable cause that a crime has been or is being committed; that would be mere suspicion. It's more accurately an indication of internet privacy being sought.

And if that's not how any of this goes down, then the system is quite simply doing it wrong.

Same, there has never been a case I have heard of where Tor authorized probable cause. I'd also like to say that I think many people overestimate the power of our NSA. For example Ross Ulbricht "founder of the original Silk Road darknet market" wasn't caught because the authorities were actually able to trace his connections otherwise they would have done this in the first place. They caught him because he naively used the same alias on multiple online accounts, one of which had his personal information tied to it on the clearnet.

ok so i wanted to check what all the buzz about the darknet is about and i installed tor following a tutorial,then i spent about 10 minutes checking the hidden wiki,then for some reason i panicked and  shutdown the computer :rofl:, anyway i was concerned about what people there claimed t do,i am sure most of this stuff are scams but people sell coke and heroine openly and guns there are books to teach how to kill and how to use a gun, some people say they even sell guns,in my opinion this is very concerning even if 1% of that stuff is real,nowdays a 10 year old can get the info he needs to use that stuff easily and that scares me, opinions??

edit : guys i was literally as high as a kite when i posted this and i dont remember posting it :lol: :lol: anyway i totally agree with myself but just to be clear i used the dark net hundreds of times before even bought ganja from there i dont know why i was so paranoid :lol: and from my writing seems like my stoned self doesnt know shit about computers which is weird as i am a programmer by career :rofl:.

yay lets bring more attention to the greatest thing of this generation :rolleyes:

your thread is pointless and makes me mad. Fuck off. Go shut your computer off in a panic again. This is why we cant have nice things...because of people like you.

Existing before Heaven and Earth,
Silent, still, standing alone, unchanging,

Great (ta). Being great, it flows out;
Flowing out means far-reaching;
Being far-reaching, it is said to return.

The darknet is where we may all have to go eventually to get a little privacy. The latest stupid law which shut down discussion boards for example. Or you want to score some weed, shrooms, or other then you go there. You use bitcoins after tumbling them, buy your weed off a trusted vendor, it comes to your door no sig required. No one is the wiser. Its just fud saying they can bust whoever they want to. They would bust them all if that was true.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

You really must never have worked for or dealt with the government much to think its capable of everything conspiraciasts believe

The gov is barely functional, its debatable to even say that its functional, its like a car sewn together with duct tape and driven by a drunken idiot

Government dysfunction = implausibility of surveillance sophistication? This has no bearing on the proficiency of work done by private industry subcontractors. Much of the what we'd consider "big brother" is actually a compartmentalized system being performed outside of official government capacity. Your theory sounds reasonable but it's missing many key factors.
