What's something cool about where you live? * 1

Our zoo where I live ranks Top 3 globally every year, with a badass aquarium and an indoor rainforest. Also, it's home to one of the largest geodesic domes on the planet, which holds the world's largest indoor desert.

What's something cool or unique about where you live? Whether it's scenery or an attraction, or whatever.

I thought this might be a good thread, because I know it can be easy to take for granted something you experience everyday or regularly.

We have some great nature areas in the mountains here but honestly if I was to compare it, it's not the same as a spot like Yosemite in California or some of the other great nature areas.  Actually one of my favorite things about where I live is that most bands tend to come into the city here so usually with a 30-40 minute drive I can often see some of my favorite bands live when they go on tour.

That's dope. We're sort of a 'little big' city so the bands we get can be hit or miss.

Yosemite is 2 hours from me

San Francisco is about 35 minutes from me, its fun and has everything

My house is on a hill and I have a view of the cities and bay. Never had a view before and I see the sunset behind mountains every night

The ocean is about 45 minutes

Redwood forest 15 minutes away

Trials bike course is 45 minutes away

Weed is legal and everything else might as well be. Sometimes strangers passing by ask me if I want any doses

I live literally on the edge of America. My town is a peninsula and when I look out my window it's all water. So I live in a town that's on the edge plus right on the water so I'm on the edges edge, so to speak

My state is  # 46 in land area
            # 11 in population
            # 2 in population density( behind Wash, DC)
  but we're # 1 in number of Superfund sites.
