I think you need one with like a wood brace to keep it open wide enough for two people.

The wooden braces are sooo uncomfortable, I don't know what uptight person invented those! These ones were geniously crafted so two people gravitate into each other happily

How are they uncomfortable?  You don't even touch them?

I don't think they are uncomfortable at all. the only hammock that is uncomfortable to me is one made with net.

I have a 2 person Eno hammock.  They are really light and they are small to pack for hiking.

Can't really see two people sleeping in it comfortably though lol.

It's nice for one person for sure.

Im torn between buying a new hammock or tent

There are a couple of tents at the thrift shop going for $5, so Ima examine those before comitting to a decision

Also need a better sleeping bag

I use an eno hammock for backpacking and it has a mosquito net. The only problem is that I always sink into the middle of the hammock and it wakes me up frequently. I wish I could take one of the wood ones with me.

I'm actually thinking about putting a couple wheels on my pack so I can pull it behind me in smooth trail sections and carry more stuff.

I haul a bike trailer around, its a pain if you're on the trail

An easy walk becomes a strenous endeavor

Works great if nothing gets jn the way though, about to ride it out into the woods, but I know the patb and there's nothing worse on it than tall grass and a few ant hills

You're doing it wrong then. Or have the wrong hammock.
My hennessy hammock I lay completely flat in it. I think the cut of the hammock has something to do with it.
You have to lay at sort of a diagonal angle, but I can get completely flat if I want.
