There is still a federal law we need to abide by in terms of when it comes to recreational marijuana.”

Because everyone knows legal marijuana is the cause of the nationwide opiode epidemic.

Fuck our attorney general. He's so stupid. People who've never smoked weed shouldn't have legal jurisdiction over it because anyone who smokes weed will tell you it's harmless. The reason why we have an opioid crisis is all the pharmaceutical companies giving people pills for having headaches and bad knees. Not that guy chillin in his house trying to find out how to make his buds thicker without using chemicals

I support Trump but I wonder when the government will realize the war on drugs is a complete waste of resources I think its just these old grandpas who hate weed.

They realize it.  But its a good cause to get behind as a faux cause...for money and power grabbing moves because it politically looks very good to the ignorant and there is a cash/funding stream to all the departments involved in taking care of the "problem" and winning the "war".  From the laws, prisons, the substances themselves, the market, the DEA, the police, rehabilitation, pharmaceuticals, etc etc....think most of us here see through the veil on this one.

But ill tell you this if the gov. pulls the tigers whiskers on this after all that has become of the cannabis movement....they are not going to be smiling pretty like the old days, there will be hell to pay.

Trump said himself that it was a waste in some interview. I think theres a vid or recording of it. Its really old though like from the 90s. He is full of it.

I wont be surprised if they start cracking down on rec pot. Kratoms probably going also.

This is really fucked. Removing the financial incentives to continue the war on drugs and incarceration in general was, I thought, the best way to get congress on board with legalization/decriminalization. Of course the prison industry was just one lobby with a financial interest in keeping plants illegal, there is still big pharma and others, but it was a good start. Before Neo-con Jeff Sessions stepped into his new office. I don't understand how senators from legal rec states voted for his confirmation. I wrote an email to Cory Gardner (R, CO) about it. How often do you see your senator vote to endanger a billion dollar industry in your state? I hope this comes back to bite them in the ass.
