resident evil 5 ps3 install issue
    #22694525 - 12/24/15 11:42 AM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I bought re5 used but the disc shows zero smudges or scratches. When i start the game up it needs to load to the hdd. Itll start to download but gets stuck at 59% and never goes pas that. Ive waited 45min at least. Ive tried deleting the game data on ps3 and starting over multiple times. Always gets stuck at 59%

Any idea on how to fix this?

    1. Scroll to the Game tab of the XMB and select Game Data Utility.
    2. Open the folder to populate the Game Data list.
    3. Select the Game Data list of the title that you wish to delete and press the Triangle button.
    4. Select Delete, then confirm to remove the game data.

Delete any for re5 and try reinstalling.

Also it may not load the data if there is not enough space on your HD for it.

If that doesnt work a format may be in the future

Thanks for the help but that didnt work. The first part of your post is what i tried. I didnt try the other things but ive got a 500gig hdd and only have played a handful of games on it. So i know space shouldnt be the problem.

I borrowed my buddys copy of re5 and it installed very quickly without any problems whatsoever.

Only differences are is he has original re5 and i have the greatest hits copy of re5. Looking around a bit and ive seen some other people had the same problem as me.
Oh well im playing now.
Again thanks for helping me try to get it to work. Soooo frustrating buying a game and then not being able  to play it.
