Lighter Eye Candy [56k Warning!]

I was originally looking for a lighter for DMT, but got sidetracked. Any suggestions on a classy specialty lighter would be helpful.

Some of those are really cool but I prefer just an old fashion propane torch if needed for my dab rig

I use to be a collector of Torch and butane lighters. I use to own this one butane lighter that had a green flame and one torch that had a red tri-flame. My my mom caught me smoking weed with them and she threw my beautiful lighter collection away. It was a very sad day :frown:

I recently got into trying to recreate my collection and bought this cool torch lighter in Las Vegas that when you press it the torch flame comes out and then after you let the button go this giant 5 inch flame ignites that is augmented by the torch flame. I also have this yin yang zippo, I like zippos and when I'm the one to light up the joint everyone thinks I'm a badass for carrying around a zippo. Zippos however are extremely unpractical and inconvenient though, the flame isn't that good, the lighter fluid evaporates quickly, and you have to buy the wick and flint often. It's still hella stylish tho!

Your better off just using a bic lighter to smoke Deemz. If you are doing the sandwich method just use a bic. If you are using glass then maybe use a single flamed small torch lighter and make sure to keep the flame a decent distance away from the bowl/glass

I have a Blazer pocket microtorch which ran $45 and hast lasted nearly 5 years. Awesome lighter

then after the blue bottle runs out, buy the green coleman camping propane bottles from walmart that are like 4$ for 2 bottles that are bigger than the blue bottle and just transfer the trigger start top to the new bottle and youre set for months


i have a pretty sweet zippo that i never use....my sister got it for me for my 16th birthday and its legit zippo brand made of brass with a jim beam label on the front made of brass - kinda more sentimental than useful honestly

i did buy a mini pistol lighter when i was fucked up at the beach on the board walk and you pulled the trigger and a penis popped out of the barrel and then you pull the trigger again and it was like a regular lighter but it would say "fuck you, fuck you" - i wish i still had it, it was pretty funny


but those torch lighters are bad for DMT cause the high temps unless you use a meth style pipe - you wanna vaporize it ideally and not burn it so a normal BIC will do the trick

Assuming you're doing it legit style from an oil burner, the smaller and more concentrated the flame the better.  That middle finger lighter is like middle-school-cool but the torch flame on it looks ideal.  The dragon one also has an ideal flame.
Larger torches are good for dab rigs but I find the smaller needle-point fine flames are better for DMT.

The number one feature you need besides a small flame is a lighter that will go out completely when you take your thumb off.  You do not want to be falling into DMT hyperspace knowing you lit your leg on fire as you fell out.  Those blue torches like in the first post are excellent for dabs but very unsafe cause they're top heavy, roll around easily on their side, and don't turn off automatically.  They're a clumsy elbow away from a serious accident.

dude how do you dab?

you torch the nail with torch in hand and just turn it off with one of your fingers when youre ready, then set on its side so the tip faces up and itll be back to room temp within 2mins

you should never have the torch lit sitting on a table trying to heat your nail that is retarded

also once you run out of the blue bottle when you get the coleman camping bottles its not top heavy at all - especially after you use it a bit

I usually have the torch held in my thighs and hold the nail up tot he flame but sometimes I hold the torch and leave the rig on the table and heat the nail that way but it means holding the torch at a weird angle.  But if the torch got knocked over in any of it, there's not a single safety mechanism on it.  The thing will roll across the floor, possibly lighting everything it touches on fire along the way.  I'm just saying, even a small base that would keep it from rolling around freely would make a huge safety difference.
Also those shorter, fat cans like the Coleman are far better than the tall, skinny, top-heavy cans cause they don't topple over so easily.

i dab completely differently.....dabber in betweeen my fingers on the hand i hold the rig with and torch in the other hand one handed.....i torch until its good, turn off the torch with my finger and set it down......theres no time that it could ever be knocked over because its in my hand, then back on the floor

now dropping it is a different story but youre kinda a fuckup in my eyes if you drop a lit torch


and i totally agree, only thing that sucks is its expensive to buy just the tip with the click start so you end up buying the blue bottle and the torch tip together and then its like why not use it otherwise its just a waste of propane

I got a dome on my rig so I can't hold the rig, dabber, and torch at the same time and make the process not-clumsy.  Usually leave the dabber and dome on the table and heat the nail, turn off the torch, then put on the dome and dab away.  Using a mini beaker bottom US Tubes with a Highly Educated Ti nail.  Dabs like a DREAM.  I have to get myself a full size version for flower one of these days.

Wow people still use domes? Anyway I use bics dejeeps or a quad flame torch on the health stone for lighters. Those cohiba lighters in op r sweet tho

Ya you can. Just turn off the torch set it down and put the dome on and dab. Shouldn't be a problem unless your nail is complete garbage and cant hold any heat.

yeah i guess it took me some practice to get it down (tho i stopped using rigs with domes a whiiile ago) but i can hold the dabber like a pencil in my left hand with the rig, torch in my right hand and torch it, turn off the flame and set down the torch and grab the dome off the table with my right hand, put it on and then transfer the rig to my right hand and use the dabber in between my fingers like a pencil on my left hand to get the dab to the nail


most people have a slightly tweaked method along those lines but as long as it gets ya high who cares :lol:
