seriously considering a hair transplant
    #22030017 - 08/01/15 06:42 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Balding makes me so insecure! And OLD!!

I have a baby face, but this damn hairline is ruining my life!
I don't even care how much it costs.

Not sure what I'm talking about? They basically take hair from spots where it's nice, big and strong (oh my!) and load it up on the balding area (in a very small nutshell).

Grossed out? Good.

I hear they charge per graft, and I would probably need upward to 1000+ graphs - so maybe like $3000 - but I may be wrong on the amount (both graft and cost per graft -- which will vary depending on where you go). But seriously, I don't even care. I want my YOUTH BACK!

I'm not even bald bald, but it's stressing me out. I could try the shaved/bic'd head, but I feel like I would just look like some awkward cancer patient (which could be good as far as getting sympathy from others, but that's no reason to shave your head!)
-----
I'm no Bruce Willis or Vin Diesel

Has anyone here ever looked into getting this done? "Looked into" to the point where you went for a consult??

I'm gonna schedule one just to see the price amount and all of that jazz.
Even if it's mad expensive, I think I'm gonna have to do it. It's literally killing me.

:icecreamsadness:

I was looking at before and after photos, and I gotta say...pretty impressed.

(lol kind of an extreme example seeing that he's rich and can afford the best of the best, but hey..it's enough for me)
would you ever get a hair transplant?
You may choose only one

personally i would just deal with it, but obviously you seen to have some negative feelings about it so you should do something about it if it makes you feel better.

people have been bald since forever, and will be... it's not like you let yourself go and get fat or something, it is just genetics.

You're really hot. You look fine. you don't have to have perfect hair to be hot.

Sounds like something that someone losing their hair would say

Whatever makes you feel good. I listen to the joe rogan podcast and I know he really regrets getting them. it seems like a pretty big commitment and you can't really go back on it once you start. I would just be worried that the transplants would look worse than your bald spot. have you tried any of the hair growth stuff like rogain? I know a few people that used it and it worked pretty well. I'm sure you look fine without the transplants. The best way to regain your youth is to excersise and take care of your body. Lots of good looking bald guys out there. But like I said whatever makes you happy you should do.

Yeah I have had thin hair on top of my head for my whole adult life, but luckily I'm fairly tall so as long as I keep my face to women at all times I feel like I can pull it off and they won't see it, then after I bang them I turn around and they're like 'omg, I just fucked a bald guy' and their self-respect is ruined so they don't care anymore

Really I don't care that much.  I'm sure there are some women who would write me off for my shitty hair, as that is important to alot of people, but to me learning to not care what women think of me is just all part of being a strong independant heman :sadyes:

Thanks guys!

I have no interest in finasteride or rogaine due to the potential side effects.
Have tried some natural "cures" with no luck.

And maybe I'll listen to some of those podcasts...maybe reading other sides of the story (only makes sense, right?).

Sometimes I go through these impulsive phases where I consider (and sometimes come fairly close) to getting all this shit done.
Eventually, I back out and I'm like, "Naaaa."

But I feel like I'm one episode away from caving!

I'm working on getting all nice and in shape now (about a month deep into the program), so we'll see how it pans out.

It's a good thing I'm not rich as shit.

Dude, I've seen your picture. You're really good looking and this is coming from a straight guy. I wouldn't really worry about it

I worry about going bald too though. Thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet
