Is it worth jail breaking my iPhone 4S?

And is it something I can do from my computer at home myself?

Can someone post a real quick pros and cons list of doing so?

What programs and such would I need? Is it a lengthy process?

My phone works flawless as is so I don't want to fuck it up and I don't want to lose everything on it.

Is there a reason you need to jailbreak it?

Pros: full root access to everything on your phone, can install apps that you normally couldn't install, customize to a much higher level, tethering, etc etc. Basically unlocking the full potential of it
Cons: higher learning curve, small possibility of bricking the phone if you fuck something up,

Typically, people jailbreak so they can install apps that normally wont work at all without being jailbroken. Or so they can customize and have full control over the phone.

I remember putting homebrew on my Wii and pirating games onto an external HD. Good times.

Ive been wanting to jailbreak my iphone, but I may just get an android on my next upgrade.

Android has a similar thing, but it's called "root". But Android by default gives you far more control and customization over your phone.

Wanted to do with PS3 but model was too new (3000 series I fink)
