No, there is plenty of room on this planet for everybody, it is the idea that we are over populated that causes you to feel that way.

People just need change, and understanding in this world, nobody needs to die.

People won't change, good or bad, unless it's forced upon them. It's simple physics:

Newtons first law of motion:
A person will continue to sit on the couch for hours watching the Jerry Springer show and listening to blah, blah, blah - unless acted upon by an unbalanced force (wife, beer run, piss break).

the population issue is a non-issue.  I'm not the first person in this thread to point out that fertility rates are below replacement in many western countries.  For instance, the fertility rate in the U.S. is 1.88 children per woman.  it requires 2 people to make a child, therefore there is a fertility deficit in the U.S. of .22 children per mating pair.  This is not an isolated trend.  Brazil is at 1.81 children per woman. in 2000, Brazil was at 2.36. 2.81 in 1990. Mexico is at 2.22, barely above replacement.  In 2000 mexico was at 2.66.  you guys get the idea i'm sure.

I respectfully disagree, there may be population deficit in some parts of the world, but there is gross over-poulation in others, as a whole there are more humans on earth than there have ever been before and that rate is still rising ,and  resources are dwindling, its easy to see that ever rising population and ever shrinking resources is going to have negative impact.

The Nazis thought it was ok to sterilize "undesireables", it was horrible, taking a persons God given right to bare a child.

It has to be a conscious choice on the part of the woman to limit the ammount of children she has, preferably to only one child, but you cant force a person to not have children, and you cant justifiably steal peoples reproductive rights.

Though I'm not sure how serious you were being....

We must never make laws restricting reproductive rights. What we must do is convince women that by only having one child they are being heroic, they are doing their selfless part to save the species, look, this is a one shot deal, if society collapses anybody trying to rebuild will find they have very little to work with, the earth will have been heavily mined, polluted, deforested, etc...they wont have a chance of getting our species off the planet before our sun runs out....but I'm getting off topic.

I believe there are reproductive restrictions in some country's in Asia, and it seems wrong to me, I.understand the intention, but how do you think those women feel? I have heard some very negative things about these laws and what happens to the children, but not enough to know if any of it is true, regardless the Nazis were the first to employ reproductive restrictions, though to a much more brutal and extreme extent.

We must convince the women that this is the right thing to do and hope they are selfless enough to go along with it, but we must never make any law restricting reproduction or start stealing peoples reproductive functions.

Yea that was more of a joke. But honestly if there can never be a law that prohibits people from reproducing who are unable support their kids with out consequence, then we should definitely do away with welfare and other assistance . People got along just fine with out it for 100s of years. I feel if we di this it will force people to.be more responsible in their actions. Teaching kids early on that it is not acceptable to have kids with out a college degree is a must. Hell look at MTV. They glorify having kids at 16.shows like that is what's wrong with America today. Then we all have to stand by while these gay activist shove that shit down our throats. Lol no pun intended . It is destroying the very fabric of this society . Now we have to watch what we say . What we draw because. We might get shot up by some Muslims. Fuck this presidency. FUCK OBAMA! FUCK ALL YOU LIBERALS

Why bring politics into an otherwise civilized conversation?  You know someone out there is going to be offended and end up trying to argue about things like obama and welfare instead of anything productive. Why argue about topics that always end in "lets agree to disagree" because no side has any chance of changing the others minds?

That would still be laws but only for women. Why place the burden on them?

That's pretty negative eugenics, I don't think forced anticonception; said women being put on a pedestal for having no children is entirely right.

Give a married statute to (fe)males who sterilize themself. That's a pretty interesting bonus when it comes to taxes, buying a house and general cost on society.

Why not? Given that everyone preaches equality how can it get more equal than imposing a limit on everyone and giving everyone the chance to have one?
Although they are pretty cruel in China where the child must be kept secret and usually has no papers proving their existence.

For every extra child you turn to a higher tax bracket.
Sounds good on paper but in reality it'd give the rich only the possibility to have many children.

You are not a bad person. It's not a bad thing to think about. I agree 200%. WAY too many fucking people in the world. People need to quit having babies. Way too much traffic on the roads.

I don't think life was even supposed to exist considering earth is the only place in the universe where life exists and humans themselves are killing themselves off. It's the universe's plan to kill off all life.

Why would I give you a negative shroomery thing or what ever the fuck you were talking about? Ive got a lot thicker skin than that, and feel no need resort to petty or childish vindictive behavior just because somebody believes something contrary to my own beliefs and states in an obnoxious way.

You not offending anybody, id be glad to discuss your veiws on these things, freedom of speach means you have the right to say and think what ever you want. Even if your only spouting inflammatory nonsense in a vein attempt to be offensive.

You make several assumptions about me, but ive never once stated my personal beliefs, ive just speculated on the topic at hand.

No, I said there would be no laws, that you cant place laws on reproductive rights, rather that you would have to convince women, and men too I suppose, that limiting the ammount of children you have will help the planet. This is a concept devoloped by Terence mckenna (example below)

TM: I was challenged by someone who said, "Well, you're always talking to these mushrooms. Why don't you ask them how to save the world?" The next time I was stoned I asked, "How can we save the world?" And the mushroom said, "Each woman should bear only one natural child." It didn't hesitate for a moment.

If every woman were to have but one natural child, the population of the earth would drop by 50% in the next 45 years. Without warfare, without migration, without artificially created epidemic diseases, or relocation and horror on a massive scale. Now, someone will say, "But how are you going to convince women in Bangladesh to limit their reproductive activity?" Good point, but a woman who has a child in Malibu_that child will have 800 to 1000 times more negative impact on resources than a child born to a woman in Bangladesh. We're crazy to preach limited reproduction to women in the Third World when, if you convert one woman in Malibu to the idea of not having a child, it's like converting 1000 women in the back streets of Dakka. Now, this woman in Malibu is very probably college-educated, completely media-sophisticated, and open to all the arguments and styles of persuasion to which we are familiar. In other words, she's the easy person to convince. She doesn't argue that she is Hindu or Catholic and can't go along with it.

...by the way beanhead, that's not what eugenics means, eugenics means selective breeding, it means you choose people with "desireable" traits and breed them together....it has nothing to do with convincing women that it may be a good idea to only have one child.
