wheres the website to check public records/ background checks? I know theres one cause i seen my lawyer pull up public records.  Trying to see what comes up on my background.. for employment and stuff

I could be wrong or it could be a state by state thing, but if you've had one done by another place of employment or something, you can go through whoever they used to do it and request a copy and they're legally required to provide you with it if you ask.

Beyond that I'm not really sure. That's one of those things that are really hard to find because all the "free" sites that will pop up in a search engine always end up not being free.

Same state I'm in. The information I was given is that if anyone runs a background check on you, the company doing the background check is legally required to provide you a copy (free) of it.

So if you want to know after what they would've found, you can get it then, or if you've had it ran in the past, you can go that way.

I'm sorry I don't know of any other way of obtaining it (free). If you want to pay for it, there are plenty of companies who do it I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to Google a reputable one. Although from what I know, what will show up depends upon the people doing the background check. Like a retail background check wouldn't show up as much necessarily as a law enforcement one would.

If you just mean criminal background, you can try your county's website.

My county (Harris) has a criminal background check for free on their site that shows up some stuff on me. It doesn't pull up everything. However when my background check was ran for my job, everything came up. So if you happen to be in the same county and use this, don't assume just because it doesn't show up here, doesn't mean it won't show up at all.

I'm in Harris too. Recently delt with a case. My lawyer pulled up records of my friend to show as an example, just don't know what site it was. Maybe he had an account or something

Well click that link, on the left side there's a thing that says "background checks" all you have to do is put in your name and date of birth. Whether it will show up or not is another question. I have 4 cases that show up on background checks for getting hired, but only 2 show up on that site. All have been Harris County as well.

seems to be working. I found my most recent case. None of my marijuana shows up, but that was actually in another county. I looked up my friend and his shows dismissed ones from 2007.  Does that mean they dont delete it?

All that stuff probably stays on record whether dismissed or not, unless you get it expunged or whatever. That would be something to ask Enlil though.

I just started seeing a girl and she actually ran two background checks on me each costing her $30.

None of my four felonies came up or even like four other misdemeanors. Does this mean that's what jobs will see also?

Not necessarily. It all depends on who actually does the background check. Like I said, my own county's background check thing only pulls up some of my criminal past, but my job pulled it all up.

Yes, if they use the same background check companies and they haven't received any new information.
