Anybody have hypothyroidism?
    #21290862 -

Just curious if any of you are diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I'm considering the possibility that I may have it…what were the first symptoms you noticed?

I kinda thought thyroid was code for fat people.

Your thyroid is an endocrine gland in your neck….everyone has it, including skinny people. Lots of people have hypothyroidism, not just obese people.

Didn't take it as rude though, don't worry  I'm not fat anyways.

I am going to! It's not too serious - my symptoms may just be in my head but it's better to be safe than sorry!

I'm surprised nobody has this disease - it is quite common.

Don't worry, it really isn't the worst thing in the world to have. Pretty easily compensated with a pill, and the side effects aren't as bad as those of other diseases!

I'm gonna get blood work done next week. I hate needles though!

i hate the damn needle pain afterwards. i like moving my arm and not feeling a hole that's recently been penetrated through it.

but, yeah, i know it's not that bad. it would explain some of my symptoms, but then again, i don't really know yet if i have anything like Hypothyroidism. it's just kinda my first guess.

Ive got hashimotos its an autoimmune thing where your immune system kinda rejects the thyroid and attacks its causing it to over produce the hormone because not enough is getting to my bloodstream but sometimes when im eating healthy and sleeping good my immune system kinda lays off it but my thyroid is still over producing causing drastic changes in thyroid hormones reaching my bloodstream so ive pretty much got both hyper and hypo depending on the week or month
I stopped gaining weight in middle school i weigh bout 100 pounds my body temperature can be really low like 96 degrees my heart rate is always fast i eat nonstop and shit 3 times a day sometimes i havent taken meds in a while i jus use mj to supress my immune system seems to work

i've had hypo for years, and know a few others who do. i've seen a few people get growths on their thyroid as well. it's not a big deal overall.

i have hypothryroidism and have been on medication for it since age 13.  i take 100-mcg synthroid levothyroxine which puts my TSH (mclU/mL) at 0.90, the low end of normal range (0.34-4.82).  i feel like i would benefit from a higher dose, but my doctor thinks these levels are fine so i'm just gonna go with that.  i still have a lot of fatigue, but i also have fibromyalgia so it's difficult to say what the cause is, most likely a combination of things.

no, because as long as the words aren't jumbled up or anything, one can read it fine. in fact, you're responding to it, means that you actually READ IT FINE.

so stfu. you're clearly unable to think.

PS: it mean?

what the fuck does "it mean" mean?

again, STFU.
