Telomere Lengthening! Potientially will Reverse Age-Related Disease

This could provide such a new scope for our human experience... Lengthening of telomeres would allow older people to have the "healing capabilities" of younger people. Although there was an autoimmune response when implemented in humans, if properly utilized this could mean the reversal of age-related health problems as well as the possible reversal of aging.

what say you?

There have been several recent or very close discoveries and break throughs that promise to dramatically extend the human lifespan. This is an exciting one and there are several others. its pretty  clear that advances in medicine will change aging as we know it dramatically in the relatively near future. It looks promising that in the next 20 years aging may be much less terrible then it is now, if you can get access to the treatments.

Also even if it has a long way to go, in the modern world technology accelerates exponentially, we have come from giant computers that could do simple equations to tiny microchips and quantum computers that can do petaflops of computations per millisecond or whatever, if this life extension technology progresses in a similar way (exponentially) then we can expect to go from these rudimentary experiments to full out life extension in a matter of maybe a decade or two at most. It was only one or two generations ago that people were using wood fires to cook and riding horses around.

I have been very interested in life extension and longevity for a long time :thumbup: for now I mostly focus on diet, supplements and exercise, but new options will be opening up very soon (already have in fact)
