Hello. I'm an avid PvP-orientated gamer and after giving combat feedback the past three years to a sinking ship, i've turned my eyes to other games.
Nosgoth Official; about/gameplay trailer

Square Enix and Psyonix have announced that Nosgoth, the free to play team based competitive multiplayer game:). -> Enjoyed the legacy of Kain vampire series? Just went Open beta and i've been around since alpha/beta, if you value a true PvP experience with only bloodthirst in your mind, they've come a great way so far and i'm enjoying atleast a few games each day ... Can buy packs but it's irrelevant since everyone has access to same pool of abilities & weaponry (I puke on freemium models so rly). Matchmaking goes fast enough but an i7 processor + sufficient wifi is advised (have friends with i5 where it doesnt run as good as it should.)
i'd say start to learn the ropes and FOCUS on teamwork. When you're unfamiliar with the abilities / maps / gameplay people who do are seriously in the advantage. -Servers can be laggy but it's a great game.

~Star Citizen/Arena Commander 1.0 (not out yet)

Are you lacking epic space ship battles in your life? I know I am!
More release info: Star Citizen Persistent Universe Alpha late 2015
---------------
Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is basically 1.6 + Zombie mode for free. Get steam :-) +it's from valve, same anticheat +Crafting system with unique weapons for zombies + various items you can buy in shop (you get a bazillion/TONS of points from a few games, I bought everything in shop and they're mostly consumables or revives, etc) +Normal De_Dust or various human/zombie/hero campaign or VS. modes
Need I say more?
Gameplay of ones of the modes:

F.E.A.R Online FEAR online official
I very much enjoyed the original FEAR and had many spooky nights with my friends Out of all the games i'm listing this is the one I play the least since the online modus is just a crappy fps IMO. There is a Co-op mode too though and given the nature of the game and the interesting story this might be convincing enough. Haven't tried yet though but if anyone feels like giving it a go just PM or post.
Teaser/trailer, doesnt really show anything but it's free to get right now.

Firefall
Looking at my steam i've invested 300hours in this game and i'm loving it. Far from perfect but it's a great mixture of MMO+FPS. Oh and jetpacks!
I've been around since 1.0 and we're nearing 1.3 now. New zones coming, more raids (+one raid added already), yet another overhaul of the crafting system/hired a new dev for it, the reintroduction of Arena PvP somewhere this year.
Sadly open world PvP called broken peninsula normally has a better Risk Vs. Reward model then normal PvE but it's lacking with the addition of several rewards from doing Campaign missions on hardcore mode. IMO
Also "Uranium", the ore needed to craft most high-tiered items is severly drained around the game at the moment up to the point the same spots get farmed all the time. Normally it's randomized and real fun getting a thumping/mining squad together. ^They're adressing this issue though and inbetween this and a few weeks we'll see the new zone so the games really... becoming something IMO
Now the game is far from perfect but if you do it like me and go in with no expectations you might be surprised. It is indeed completely F2P. I have everything or even better items then people who'd like to pay. +see devs ingame and PvP with them sometimes with events +Free VIP/items from events ever so often. +3 raids/Boss, 8 campaign missions, four zones (Coral forest - beginner, Sertao - intermediate, Devils Tusk + 1-coming "Amazonian" 40-48 AKA max, Broken Peninsula - Open World PvP experiment) -PvP side is lacking but is getting some love again and I easily meet 20-40people in PvP but the rewards are lacking at the moment (can get best weapon modules+battleframe cores from there though) +Very entertaining if you have a good army. +Combat changes 2.0/Crafting +Reputation system will make impact on gameworld more outlined. -Hit a wall easily after maxing frame(s), gearing it if you don't enjoy PvP OR the sandbox experience in general. I vouch for this game .

Path of Exile
^Gameplay
Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast. We're a small independent team of hardcore gamers based in New Zealand and have created Path of Exile as the game that we'd want to play ourselves. It is designed around a strong barter-based online item economy, deep character customisation, competitive PvP and ladder races. The game is completely free and will never be "pay to win".
It's diablo 2 but better, bigger, and always receiving more content. 1325 skills to choose from.
They finished the first season of PvP Tournaments.

Loadout.
Official Skillful yet simple FPS which high customization options for your weapons and you can pick up other people their created weapons aswell. If i'm stoned and want to have a good laugh, I play this one.
Apparently getting a PS4 release aswell. I'd buy it or DL it if that ones free.
Gameplay:
-----------
Natural Selection 2 (Buy2Play) Official Aliens Vs. Humans (and theres crazy features), very strategic thinking gives you a +1 in this game, I found it very difficult to get into.
Natural Selection 2 is an immersive, multiplayer shooter that pits aliens against humans in a strategic and action-packed struggle for survival. It seamlessly combines a shooter/FPS gameplay with a strategy (RTS) game.
Hard on the specs too but great online shooter. +Great support, loads of patches (they're at build 273 so far which included a Steam release) Dev tracker
-----------
Planetside 2. (Buy2Play) Battlefield + Science fiction = Planetside 2
HUMONGOUS game, you need your big ass team or you die. Work together or you die. i'm contemplating buying a ps4 because they're going to port to it. Mind fucking blown.
Skim for interesting parts. Beginner guide (yes we all need one for this game XD)
------------
Quake Live - F2P Quake. 'nuff said.
------------
Rise of the Triad It's basically DOOM + More features + sometimes online play -lacks community/people playing despite it's huge popularity since release Or i'm doing something wrong to access all servers but they have atleast two up and running all time + devs still post weekly with videos/thoughts, etc
You nostalgia you die basically.
-----------
Mission Against Terror
Haven't played decently but looks like a skillful FPS. + They hold tournaments Gameplay:
Will add a few introductions to upcoming alphas/betas later but my raids are starting and my mate wants to train for this weekend Tekken tourney XD
Cheers
