doors are great, Jim Morrison is really, really over-rated.

Jim Morrison would be absolutely nothing without the real talent of Ray, John, and Robby, but the rest of the band would still be damn good without Jim.

I couldn't agree with you more...Ray, John and Robby were amazing musicians and don't have the respect or fame that they deserved because Morrison stole the spotlight with all of his crazy drunken stage antics.

Jim Morrison is to the Doors as the Apple Logo is to Apple Computers. Stylish and flashy- a universally recognizable symbol that everybody knows the product by. It's a powerful marketing gimmick but nothing more. Inherently useless.
