wtf is this! obamacare wtf!

so i just figured out that when I get my income tax, the government is going to tax me for every month that i did not have health insurance.

wtf is this shit!?

taxation without representation?!

i could understand if we were taxed and provided with insurance --- but this just sounds like another government ploy to tax the people whilst also criminilizing a shit ton of people who cant afford health insurance at nearly $200 a month.


how did we let this happen?

i dont know why i've never really cared to look into obamacare until tonight..

Well, it's going to be either 1% of your income, or $95 for the whole year. It will double next year to 2% or $235.

yours seems to be a common problem, especially amongst those that voted
for obama and other democrats. the ones that pushed obamacare as being
insurance were even dumber if you can believe that


now, check this out.

obamacare mandated that insurance companies do what they already were
doing, covering people with preexisting conditions, they did that and it
cost those folks a higher premium. now they are forced to cover them and
the premiums went up, so now they're still covered but they pay more than
before for the same thing they were getting

Now, you're bitching about the fines, guess what, they're cheaper than
buying insurance, the downside is now the medical costs have gone up, just
like the insurance costs. I have a $32,000 bill for my daughter's broken
arm. a couple of years ago this may have cost me $3000

Obamacare was touted as 'affordable healthcare', well, you sign up at the
market place website and they give you a price, sure it's a high price but
some people  such as students can get a subsidy, well it's not really a
subsidy, it comes out of their taxes just like the fines do so in reality,
they're subsidizing their own insurance and are clueless to the process.


now, last year I had to drop my insurance coverage because the premiums
went up again to the point of being unaffordable, this year they're going
up again, I looked at the insurance market place and they quoted me an
even greater amount than my workplace insurance

guess what, there's absolutely nothing affordable about the affordable
care act, it doesnt provide care, only taxes and mandates

I haven't looked into it yet but I remember hearing (on npr I believe) that if it infringes or goes against your religious beliefs you can be exempt from obama care and being charged a fine.

Yeah, we should have just gone the single payer system.  That seemed to be Obama's plan from the gate but apparently he switched his views to be more conforming to what the right wanted.  :confused:  Obamacare makes a broken system even more broken.  Health care costs are skyrocketing and health insurance isn't exactly "easily obtainable."  While for the rich, little changes, for the uninsured, they get even more fucked by all of this.  There is little advantage to actually working these days as the benefits are only subtly more beneficial than just chillin all day on government aid.
