Good stuff.  9/13 was the best of the run.  It was actually basis>aceetobee>basis>aceetobee>basis I dunno why the official setlist doesn't have the first basis.  Anyhow, Friday blew; it appeared to me that the band was in some sort of argument.  Brownie and Magner kept screaming into the internal mic and glaring at Barber who was just playing whatever without giving a fuck where the rest of the band was at.  Sunday, I'd say 8/10.  I wish they woulda dropped fully into Solstice but what can ya do.  Any of you all go?  I saw some dude on night 2 get thrown out for being too fucked up (a feat for a biscuits show) and almost get hit by a car like 4 times on colfax.  :ilold:

Enjoy.

Has the "singer" learned how to sing yet? Vocal lessons or something?

Haha, it's an acquired taste.  I think it fits great.  If anything, I think the lyrics are pretty bomb at least.

I seriously tried to get into the Biscuits when I was seeing a girl who was really into them. Just never quite jibed for my taste.

Yeah, I mean they have several advantages to other jam bands:

(1) they jam FAR more than other "jam" bands.  for example, phish plays like stock shit the entirety of set 1 like every time.  IF the stars align, you might get a good jam like the chalkdust torture from 8/31/13.

(2) they go super dark side on the reg which most bands seem to not do nearly as often.

(3) their setlist writing is far more interesting.  their ability to break apart songs and flip flop them is rather unparalleled.

(4) their ability to blend songs is absolutely unparalleled.

(5) despite questionable vocal ability, barber is an absolutely fantastic guitar player.

It takes a long listening period to really get them.  I listened for quite a while at the demands of my buddy at various points in college and hated them too for a long time.  Dunno, they just grew on me.
