Which Cherry switches you use or prefer?
    #19948060 -

I am thinking reds. I will use the board for gaming as well as typing, but I think I can get used to the reds easier, coming from rubber domes.
Which switch do you use?
You may choose only one
Which switch do you reccomend?
You may choose only one

Blacks should be in the poll. I'm on blacks. Reds are really rare compared to blacks so not sure why reds are featured

If you're going to buy a mechanical keyboard then there is no point not getting blues because they make the most of a mechanical board when you get used to them.

I was going to put blacks, but they have the same actuation profile as reds. Just linear, and a little harder to push...

IIRC reds are much more popular, but I have only been looking for a couple days now so... :themoreyouknow:

Reds might be more popular but blacks are more widespread at least on commercial keyboards IME

I'd definitely go for blues, when you get used to the low actuation and the click then you can type fastest and most efficiently on those which is basically what a mechanical switch is about at the end of the day.

My one gripe with blues is that I will game on the board. That will be it's primary purpose. I feel that the click and all is (a) too noisy (b) not optimized for gaming. That's why I had narrowed my search to browns and reds, but, after all, I am here for suggestion and opinion, so I am keeping an open mind.

Browns then. Daskeyboard has incredible quality so it's an amazing option for Cherry MX Browns in the USA.

Also, student discount if you are.

I have brown switches, they feel amazing while typing. I wish I had gotten clears though, I've found that I'm a bit heavy handed while I'm gaming. I bottom out a lot still, and a little more resistance probably would help out with that.
