sup with the Headlines?

Who chooses what topics go under headlines?  Am I the only one who thinks the headlines on the Home page are a little biased toward fear based stories? 

The headlines should be positive inspiring stories, considering the mushroom has generally a positive, spiritual, uplifting essence about it, and is admired for making everyone feel connected.  Why does our Home page look like Fox, CNN, and Aol....

There's negative stuff anywhere you want to find it, but do we have to keep pointing it out?
