Unlocking a Galaxy S3 for free? Need help.

Okay so somebody owed me some money and they ended up just giving me their cracked screen Samsung Galaxy S3. It still works though.

I currently use a super old school phone on straight talk that barely has a color screen and want to keep paying the straight talk prices.

So they have SIM cards you can order on the straight talk site.  The Galaxy I have is from T-Mobile and takes a micro SIM card.  The only available micro SIM card on straight talk is for AT&T.

As I understand it I need to unlock the phone then I can use a AT&T SIM card correct?

I did a google search and all the free methods seem a little sketch so I thought I would ask in here if anyone had a safe method before I payed to have it done.

Not really getting at the illegal fact, but now that it is..it seems like something that a carrier can easily catch onto

Well, you could always call up the carrier and tell then you're traveling and taking your cell phone with you, and need to unlock it to have a local carrier. When  did that with a T-mobile blackberry they gave me an unlock code for it, but YMMV. Also, you can cut down a full size SIM to a Micro SIM, the only difference is size, as far as I know.
For legal reasons, obtain all the info you can that proves T-Mobile allowed you to unlock your phone.

I didn't experience with free Samsung Galaxy S3 unlocking service you can get the unlocking service from any online vendor like Mobile-Unlocker.com by paying some amount.
