I'm looking to take a bus from Saint Paul to Milwaukee on Thursday. I can either take a Megabus or Greyhound. I can get a round trip on Greyhound for $28-$36, or a Megabus for about $50. Do I need to catch the 6:40 AM bus and get into MKE at a scheduled 12:15 to be make sure I can catch the TNF game at 7:25, or if I take the later bus (scheduled arrival at 5:15), will I still be good?
Basically what I'm asking is does Greyhound have a lot of delays, or should I be good for the 5:15 bus?
Megabus does have WiFi though, so it is tempting.

I took a greyhound to breckenridge one time. There was a major snow storm on the return trip. Their telephone operators are in central time and they closed a little after the bus was supposed to show. We called when the bus didn't show and they said they have no idea where the buses are because they don't have GPS and the drivers don't update anyone when their bus breaks down or is going to be late. Apparently the bus was coming from somewhere in california. I had to have someone from Denver drive up and rescue me or I would have been stranded. To get a refund when your bus doesn't show, you have to like mail in your ticket and it's a complicated process. My friend who rides the grayhound more frequently said the bus has not shown on several occasions. Fuck greyhound.

If your itinerary is with Greyhound, then even if they're late they should give you a new transfer. That's what they did with me, personally the only thing I don't like about greyhound is the actual reality of sitting on a bus. Past that they've always been good to me and only LA checked for drugs

Free transfers and all that but I add one hour to ever five hours your riding.
It works out most of the time. 14 hours may turn into 18 instead of 17 bit works the other way also.
