There I've said it.

I know I won't be winning any popularity contests, but this shit needs to be said. If you're in the US or any wealthy country and you enlist, you're basically signing up to be a corporate thug. A mercenary. A fucking trained killer.

Boggles my mind that if a parent has a child that gets into prostitution, stripping or porn, they look down and feel the shame. They feel they've failed as a parent.

If the same child goes to become a trained killer, then drops bombs, fires shells or shoots rounds into poor brown people, that's an immense source of pride. Double-speak at its finest. My son's not a killer, he's a "soldier" and he's "serving his country".

Knowing how the US especially gets involved in wars strictly for profit, being a trained killer for the state at this time should bring the same social status as crack whores, pimps and heroin and meth dealers that deal to kids.

Statues and monuments to fallen "heroes", generals, and trained killers overall. Give me a break. Glorifying organized violence like it's the best thing to do in life. I have a huge monument like that in the park where all the kids play. Now someone explain to me, if depicting sex is inappropriate for children, and we keep hardcore pornography and even nudism away from children's playgrounds, how exactly is it OK to show adults ripping each other to pieces with rifles, grenades and mortar fire? How is that a good example to show to kids, as acceptable behavior?

Fuck all the individuals who enlist into this racket. Especially in the US, you're not defending anything. You're getting paid for being a corporate thug. I hope you come back with missing limbs, get sprayed with fucked up chemicals, or better yet come back in a coffin. Should not have joined such a fucked up institution. Fuck all troops, everywhere. You make wars possible. Fuck you.

The U.S. decided to fight a war and it needed people to fight in it. These soldiers need to exist. if they didn't or there were less of them there might be a draft.

They fill a place in society that I'm sure you'd rather not, that NEEDS to be filled. And if you think that isn't true, take a good look at America's history.

They are all idiots for even joining the military to take care of issues the government created, or to fight for oil and kill innocent people for money and oil. The most hilarious part is they think they're fighting for their "Country" or "freedom".

Yeah, your ability to choose not to sign-up is a direct result of those people's willingness to do so, and deriding them for their sacrifice sounds elitist and entitled when you are indirectly a murdering whore simply by being an American citizen and benefiting daily from the socio-political and economic ramifications of their corporate thuggery.  This kind of entitled whining makes me wish military participation was mandatory in the US as it is in Israel.  I'm sure more Americans would actually think twice before dropping trillions of dollars into the sand if everybody had to go through it together and we'd all been to war.  Not saying I want to be in the military, but I'm sure glad there are people out there who are willing to do that shit, and as long as the clods I've voted for send them off to fight in stupid, wasteful wars and I tolerate it without protest, I'm just as guilty as they are.

I'm not a Muslim, the US never bombed my country, I don't live in the US. This goes for other countries as well, but especially the US stands out by being more aggressive than most, starting more unnecessary wars based solely on corporate profit, and with a population that wouldn't actually need to enlist. The 21st century offers a bunch of opportunities to make a more or less honest living, without killing people.

You have fucking idiot kids who believe the propaganda, fail to even google around a bit, enlist, and then go off to wherever the good corporate interests send them. I hope they reap the exact same things they sow.

You have fucking parents who buy into the propaganda, and continue to spread this message, that yes, being a trained murderer is OK. It's a honorable profession. Just look how many flags they have on the outfits, it must be really great and useful. Being a career officer is a worthwhile occupation for a human being, not a waste of a perfectly good brain. Stripping and fucking for money is not ok, but killing people at the whim of bought and paid for politicians, that's perfectly fine. Go wild. To every parent that has seen their kid come back in a coffin or missing a few limbs, well done fucker, you deserve it. They shouldn't have been there, if you'd done your job right. You've failed to understand the world around you and educate your kid as to how it works.

Whatever happened a century or more ago, when information was impossible to get by the common person, that was different. I am talking in the last few decades. I am talking about people who enlisted last year, this year, or are actually considering involvement in the military in years to come, despite that information is now so easily available. I recently started working with three people that are in the service.  We go out to lunch and stuff and have a decent professional relationship.  Its kind of awkward when people thank them for their service because I never have, and never will.  I deplore murder, I don't give a fuck what corner of the world you commit the atrocity, murder is murder.  But i guess that's something they will have to square with their maker.


What's crazy is these people are Christians!!!  How the fuck do they justify this behavior?

If I know anything about god the dude would not stand for this shit.  And if god is real, all these solders are going to face him on judgment day; and gods going to ask them "why did you kill this man?"  They will say "because he was my enemy"..  Gods going to look him straight in the face and say "He was your brother"...
