Extreme couponing!

:yesnod: So today I'm wicked sick. My chest feels like I have ton of bricks on it. My nose doesn't know if it want's to be stuffy, or runny, and I have lost my voice completely. I'm down to a low whisper.
So, my girl is at work, and our kid is at the sitter, so I'm just gonna watch Extreme couponing on netflix, and hopefully get some much needed rest.

Anyone else into this show? I read the description, and was like... "Oh cool, people cutting coupons and going shopping... how awesome. :rolleyes:"

But my girl was like... just watch one episode with me! So I did.. and it's amazing. This girl had 1,200$ worth of groceries and ended up paying a little over 100.00$ Shit's crazy, and now I'm addicted.

I was amazed for about an episode and a half lol. I don't understand how they make a show about people saving on shopping and people don't get bored seeing the same thing every time. It is pretty crazy though

All the time that is spent collecting magazines, searching the web, printing the paper, cutting out each individual coupon, meticulously abiding by the regulations printed on the coupon, finding the exact matches of food, matching the coupon at the register to the right food items, etc. could be spent at a job where they could just pay for the groceries and still put money in their pocket on top of that. Plus, you see these peoples houses and they have each item stocked up more than the actual grocery store. It really makes you wonder what the point of going through all that trouble is. Often times they give to charities, but some of those people have severe issues of hoarding/OCD.

My favorite is when they get money back! Hahaha, the managers always looked pissed.

i just posted about some thread about a charity claiming to feed families in need for 8 meals for donating a dollar (thinking its probably a scam)

anyway i need to save money... and i having looking into this and this is freaking awesome! all the stores i thought were too expensive are now going to change my budget (walgreens, rite aid, albertsons...)

sorry to resurrect an old thread, but i figure i might as well instead of posting a new thread on the same topic... :money:

I know that they print them out so they have to honor it, just always rubbed me the wrong way.

Also you're stuck with like 50 bottles of ketchup :lol:

I'd rather just buy what I need at full price and be done with it than have some stupid coupons dictate what I eat

actually i just found the best picture of her online and she is still barely passing with airbrushes and makeup and photo editing.  she has a nice body but chronic fat-face

seriously i didn't even hear of the show until i found this thread. there are really people who do this though.

i couldnt buy that much if i wanted to, i have no vehicle and i live in a studio apartment not much bigger than a standard hotel room.

if i can stock my freezer and fridge... as well as plenty of dry food i would be much healthier...

Lol sorry dude. Back to Extreme Couponing. I've seen it before, it was worth checking out. But as mentioned in this thread I couldn't get past the fact why one would need 478 jars of Nutella -- flanked by 294 cans of Febreze and 104 bottles of dish soap sitting down in their basement.
