Start from there then.
Everyone's different but weening was 100x easier than quitting cold turkey for me.

I kinda thought that might happen.

If you want my opinion, the fact that you HAVE speed but are not taking it for that long is an indication that you are doing great. I personally can't resist the cravings to that degree. Your inability to flush it down the toilet means nothing, because you will always be able to get more; however, the fact that you can stand by your choice not to take more--even though you theoretically could-- means you're doing great.

Don't even fight the cravings, you've already won. Just try to enjoy yourself. It is definitely possible to enjoy yourself without speed.

And definitely work on that tolerance. Keep it up for another week or so. You should be able to get geeked from 10mg. If you stand by your break for a good while you will get back there.

I'm tellin you- you just need enough weed and alcohol and the cravings won't be nearly as bad. And you need to get rid of what you have, or else you'll just keep slipping up.

when im really withdrawing or coming down bad, i can't do anything. i can't focus enough to play computer games. or like its not the same as when i play 'focused'. i also cant really keep my attention on a movie or tv show much, i'll more just stare at it blankly. i have no hope trying to watch a subbed anime episode in that state. mostly what i'll do is just put on some david attenborough/nature style doco that i can just watch blindly, or put some music on and try to sleep. i just have to do brain dead tasks and ride it out untill it passes. its usually pretty shitty, because i tend to get psychosis with it as well. meff psychosis ftl. most of the time i just try to skip all of it with benzos now. knock myself out, wake up, get a good feed, take vitamins etc. and then just wait for things to return to normal!

thats why i'm moving closer and closer to saying " Fuck meth! ". i've said it a few times, but really. fuck meth. the shit is poison.

kind of lame as well because i'm getting towards the end of all drugs now. i can't smoke weed anymore, i've lost the magic of MDMA. K is similar in that i dont feel right using alot of it anymore. meth again, i cant really use anymore (but still do). alcohol is alcohol and is steady and reliable, but again i'm even getting over alcohol. and psychedelics i'm kind of getting over too. i find it difficult to bring myself to commit to a big 10 hour ++ trip. i haven't even smoked dmt in a long time as well, because of the initial scare of the whole thing.

all that leaves behind to my mind is prescription amphetamines, which again i dont really want to use because its pretty much just meth-lite. cocaine, which where i live is too expensive and not worth the price. and GHB, which i again don't like and don't want to really start using.

so really that leads me towards the conclusion that i should call it quits with drugs and start living healthy and soberly!

kinda lame when you still got the appetite but nothing to quench it with though.

Well, how about opioids?

That's not universal. When I'm drunk I want speed so much more than when I'm sober, and impaired judgment makes me more likely to give in. I think it has something to do with the dopamine release-- one dopamine release makes me crave another. Alcohol, amphetamine, and cigarettes all have a weird triangle effect for me-- I don't like cigarettes when I'm sober, and I'm not often tempted to abuse amphetamines when I'm sober, but throw in a couple bottles of beer or a nasty hangover and I will do it all. (Interesting side note, amphetamines make me crave cigarettes when dosed responsibly but not when I'm abusing. :wtf:)

Weed is the great equalizer, though-- I wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody dealing with cravings. It pretty much does a little bit of everything, so it satisfies every craving. :ancientaliens:

Usually when my habits get out of control, I look to the expiration of my prescription to bring it all back together. I've only permanently increased my dose once since I got my prescription years ago, and the desire to avoid looking like a tweaker in front of my doctor tends to keep me in line. I could always get any of a variety of amphetamines from drug dealers, but dealers who deal in speed are so much more obnoxious to deal with than a doctor, so I rarely go through with it.

yeah, you can't treat problems you have with your... "dopamine release"... with more dopaminergic drugs, unless you're trying to slow down re-uptake of the transmitter, with drugs... but that's not Alcohol or any really good feeling drugs.

Weed :feelsgoodman: but it doesn't seem to do that dopamine clusterfuck.

Then again, weed's feelsgoodman is a wholly different animal from the feelsgoodman of alcohol or amphetamine.

Yeah.

Weed, the buzz feels "real", idk how else to explain it. It effects everything around me, not just me.

With amphs and alcohol, it feels like a chemical, fake buzz. At least IME

For me it doesn't feel "fake", it feels completely real, beyond doubt. Drunk, I know I'm that awesome and socially adept; and there is no doubting the sheer pleasure of being incredibly spun.

What makes weed so great is that it makes you think. Amphetamine is not traditionally understood as a narcotic, but it is definitely a narcotic. When you are "amped", you stop thinking. Same for drunk or otherwise doped-up. Weed? Nope, weed is a psychedelic-- thought-making. :awecid:

I don't like opiates or benzos, and don't want to start an appetite for them either, because I know that wont go down well. Besides, I like to take drugs when I'm out and about and doing stuffs. I like to take drugs to feels feels, not to feels nones
